Has anyone watched the Ole Miss- UGA game?
That game could have been worse. But UGAs offense sustained some drives to keep Ole Miss offense off the field. Could have easily been 42-10 Ole Miss.

- Were there bad calls last night? Yup. Commentators were horrible on that fumble Brooks caused. It absolutely was a fumble.

This isn’t a good Georgia team comparatively speaking. So why can’t Heupel win vs UGA?

It’s his philosophy. If you become to simplistic- then you take the edge away from the offense.
Kirby will praise him pregame and post game to every UGA victory over Tennessee…
Kirby really didn’t do anything extraordinary.
- He blitzed while we were in hurry up. (This is like being a good counterpuncher in boxing)

- On offense they went up tempo- as a form of shock warfare.

We’ve seen this all year long, but our defense is has been good enough to bail us out. We’ve seen countless counter runs up the middle for no gain and running only 15 seconds on the clock.

Nico improvising is our offense and that’s on coaching. Kitslman drops a few- so we stop running 12 personnel??? Meanwhile we trot out that same spread formation with one back and get absolutely wrecked because we’re predictable. Arkansas DC said this. Mississippi State even had long stretches of success last week.

Some of us are worried about our recruits….
What about the guys we already have??? There’s a great deal of talent just not being utilized.
Georgia was not much (IF IT ALL )more talented than us last night.

Unless Heupel brings in some new offensive strategy to blend his - sharp and fast execution-
then this will always be the summary of the UGA/TN game while Smart is there.

We’ve lost to them for all 4 years of Heupel for the same reason. Look back at all 4 games if you don’t believe me. We’ve all seen them. The first 3 years UGA had a much better roster (even in 2022). And we kept chalking it up to that.
But the fact of the matter is- UGA hasn’t played well as a team against us in 3 years…yet still win comfortably.

Heupel needs proper help. He needs variety and new juice in that offense. Hell even Nick Saban needed Lane Kiffin and Steve Sarkisian to win separate championships

So basically he needs to upgrade the Offensive Coordinator to someone with experience in the off-season or it's going to be rinse, wash and repeat against Georgia next season.

Going to go a step further and suggest he opens the QB position up to competition during Spring training. Besides Nico, there will be two more 4star qbs on the roster.

I’m sorry this is a horrible take- how many times has Huepel had comparable talent. This year that is it not my opinion those are the facts.

One of the problems last night was Georgia took advantage of our safeties. Two of their TD pass were completed on Brooks who was out of position most of the night. It was his worst game of the season. However, the play of our LBs were the tale of the game on defense. We miss Pili in the worst way. I also believe we miss Spillman, even though he is a true Freshman.

Agree on all counts.

I agree with most of what you are saying but I don’t agree that Heupel needs to find a new offensive strategy he needs to find players who can execute his strategy. He has had players schemed open all season but they don’t execute which is on the player.

Georgia took advantage of our weakness on defense that is two young LB’s and two safeties that are not SEC players.

I think we've seen the peak of Heupel's offense in 2022. SEC coaches are too smart and have too much talent to use against the same predictable plays. The defense has kept us from looking like a bad team all season until last night.

Pretty clear to my mind that Kiffin and his staff out coached UGA. I'll also add that Kiffin and his staff have done a far better job in the portal than we have. Ole Miss is a more talented and complete team than we are.

I agree our WR’s have not been good this year and have not improved. That is on coaching for one not helping them improve or two putting them on the bench and letting some of the younger kids play. I think Heupel has to make a change at the WR coaching position if we are ever going to take the next step.

I have been hard on Nico but I have to remind myself he is just a RS freshman. Maybe I bought into the preseason hype or maybe it is the fact a player is making 2 million should perform at a higher level. 🤷‍♂️

I have to agree. This defense still good was elite with Pili he just brought an intimidation factor. Love him or hate him Jeremy Banks did the same. Arion Carter is going to play in the league a long time but he just does not have the same prescence as Pili.
