Would he have taken a demotion to stay at USC? B/c he wasn't going to stay in that role with Monte coming in. Also, USC's defense was pretty mediocre this year from what I remember.

When you lose the starters they lost on D to the NFL last season it is going to be tough to duplicate....doesn't matter how good of back ups you got when you have to replace that caliber of D talent at the starting position.

Just in defense of Seto....he is a class act regardless that he is from USC....and he was there before X so give him some slack.

Yeah, no doubt. He seems like a good dude. I was just stating that unless he was willing to be a linebacker coach or something else, he wasn't going to be at USC. I'm sure USC hired Kiffin on the condition that Monte would come as DC. So, I didn't view it as Seto not fitting in with Kiffin as the reason for him not staying on staff.
