Expectaions year in and year out

a lot is being made of CPF's recent trend of down seasons vs. what happened in the 90's, so i was wondering what does everyone consider to be a bad season from a win loss stand point...
Also understanding that who we lose to, as well as the total number of losses, may have bearing on good or bad seasons, what teams can we NOT lose to if any season is to be considered a good one....?

now that we have a 12 game season starting next year, 3 losses is my cut off...9-3, with a bowl win gets you 10 wins, and i think there is still something to be said for a 10 win season...8-4, is average by our standards, and it should be...

AS to the teams we have to beat...
1. Florida
2. Georgia
3. Alabama
in that order. We should at least beat one of them every year, if not two of them....

Bama would be no. 1 on that list, but divisonal play moved them back...we can lose to them, but still play for SEC CG if we beat the other two...but i still love beating Bama, ver much so...

4, eh... depends on your expectations I guess. 4 losses this season would've been a bad one.

4 losses during a rebuilding year is okay, I suppose. A little underwhelming. Having a year like this one, for this program, just seems unacceptable.

You are right on target. We were preseason ranked from 2 to 5. Even CPF said in preseason we were loaded.

The correct answer is 2 or more is a bad season. If you want a year in and year out winning team that is a National contender then 1 is a bad year. If you want the same old thing as usual then more than 4 will do. Just depends on what you expect i guess....

It's all relative. Some years 9-2 is a bad season. Some years, like last season, 3 losses is pretty good.
