I think next season, 6 wins and a bowl game are a must. And by year 2 and 3, he needs to have 7-8 win seasons. And by year 4, 8-9 wins, or we should be looking for a coach again. What say you volnation?

Just want to see progress each year, top 10 recruiting classes, and a clean program.

Agree except 10 wins by year 4. Remember he is now a top paid coach. Much is given, much is expected.

I predict Butch Jones will be very successful at UT which will propel him to land his REAL ultimate dream job of MNF analyst.

Given the 2013 schedule and the number of Jrs. who will declare for the NFL draft I think we will be very lucky to win 6 games next year. The wildcard will be if we can somehow sign 1-2 stud running backs who are ready to start in the SEC as freshmen.

Just remember, he will be using Dooley's recruits. I think 6-6 is reasonable for the first year. But, I would expect it to increase in subsequent years.

I think we will have a good Offense next year. the O-line should be one of the best in the SEC. (how serious is it that Juwaun james could leave)? Lane and Neal are returning they may not be great backs, but they was solid. The big questions who will be the QB, and do we have enough talent at WR with Pig, Dallas, Bowles, and I could see Croom getting moved back to WR. The D and kicking came could be scary again, I just don't know what will happen on that side of the ball.

Improve Improve Improve. As long as he improves each year, I can handle it. That was Dooley's problem. He just got worse. I could have supported Dooley if the team actually looked like it was getting better but it wasn't.

6 wins is going to take some doing next year. there are 5 games which we shold win, including Auburn and KY. To get another one ,we would have to beat either Missou away or Vandy (I can't believe they are in this category). It might happen but you sure can't count on it. The one good thing going forward is you could just about bank on Dooley losing all those toss up kind of games and it seems Jones has a knack for winning those kind of games so I think we are already improved from that standpoint.

As it stands right now, 6-6 is probably the best we can hope for. The Auburn game on Nov 9th should be interesting with the two new coaches going at it. It will give us a chance to see who is doing the better job at that point.

I agree. I was okay after Year One/Zero but it just went the wrong direction and injuries/youth kept a lot of people from being able to see the problem until well into this season. I was hoping for the homerun hire who could lasso the 5* talent on name alone because I figured that would put us about where we should've been in year 3/4 of the Dooley era (8-10 win season).

6-6, Seriously!! At ALA., FLA., ORE. no returning starters on offense xcept for a few linemen & NO defense -- good luck. '13 - 3 & 9, '14 - 4-8 then hit the lottery and run. :twocents:

I think we have more going in talent wise than they have now... but we'll see. I don't htink Malzahn is any better a hire than what we have either.

Looking at the 2013 schedule, I do not see us winning more than 6 games. Realistically I am thinking 4 or 5. I think up to 7 of our foes will be in the top 25 next year. I just want to see improvement year to year. The wins will come. I will support CBJ until he gives me a very good reason not to.

Must show improvement each year, something Dooley could not do. Wins/Loses must improve each year. Also, I would expect Top 15ish recruiting class this year, top 10 each year from then on. Otherwise we won't have the talent to compete for Championships.

I agree. Auburn was a complete disaster this year and it will be interesting to see if Malzahn can re-produce his magic without a Cam Newton on the team. He didn't fair very well in 11 after Cam left.
