Expectations for Next year

With all the news, what's your all's expectations for next year? As of right now I'm sitting between 8-4 to 9-3. I'm more so worried about WRs as they will be underclassmen. Now if we can get a couple of playmakers in the portal that could change things. I'm not sure we go after a big name QB in the portal simply because it will set the wrong precedent with the guys on the roster.

Nico is not the difference in a successful season or not honestly. Expectations are still the same but some grace will be shown, as it should be IMO.

Feel like a lot would have to go wrong for 7-5. I expect the defense to once again be really good.

It is simply to soon to predict next season. I expect us to poach a seasoned qb in the transfer portal... the difference between Kyle McCord and Riley Leonard is pretty vast.

I had is at 8 wins with Nico. Think I'm gonna roll with 8 with his replacement.

I think 8-4 should be the floor. I do kike how our biggest games are apaced out with what should be easier games in between. OU is the wildcard for me and I give that one a coin flip chance.
If the QB gets on track, I can see 9 wins. I think we will lean a lot on the run, at least early. I don't think we will be lighting up the scoreboard much this season. I am guessing we average about 27 per game.

I honestly have no idea. I don’t think we know anything about this team. We learned nothing this spring because so many players were out.

Extremely happy Kyle Mccord didn't get that extra year . Wouldn't mind if my Steelers took a chance with him

I didn't see Nico as a difference maker. He was more of a manager last year. We depended on the running game and defense. See pretty much the same for this year. We just don't have the dynamic receivers or the OL to run Heupels offense. Think that's why they're experimenting with the pistol this spring. Nico, Merk or Mac....won't change the rest of the roster. Think we'll be a blue collar bunch. Kinda like a poor man's Michigan? Maybe there's better chemistry in the locker room now that the distractions are behind them?

I expected us to be competitive with OSU, so. We will need to let this play out. It could be we just gave an all American QB his shot. Lots of work to do in the to do in the transfer portal next week, think Dalton K. The strength of the overall team is unknown at this point. I would say my expectations have lowered slightly. My interest in the sport decreased some as well.

That’s very likely with 2 inexperienced freshmen quarterbacks. Freshman Quarterbacks always struggle regardless of their talent. Even Manning had his struggles his Freshman season.

Even with Nico, we were likely to struggle this year. Now "struggling" will still be better than 90% of the seasons under Dooley, Jones, and Pruitt. I am banking on something around 8-4. I feel like it is going to resemble 2023.

EDIT: One thing about the team is that I am curious to hear more about the defensive side of the ball. All this Nico drama has totally overshadowed that unit.
