Guys we're just not that good..The oregon,alabama,and auburn games have showed us this...We had a emotional first home game because Butch,an the people had the team believers that their the team thats gonna bring Tennessee back on top!..The south carolina game was a emotional game also because they were determined to get that first win..this shows me that this team does have heart people but they just cant compete week n an week out with those teams just yet,this years class looks to be giving this team some depth an maybe even some future stars for the vols so be patient guys we'll be back soon my friends!! eace2:eace2:eace2:

We should also have realistic expectations. Every retard on here needs to realize that "high expectations" are for the long term or the process. Realistic expectations are what these bozos and yahoos are whining about when 6 wins is an awesome year for us this year.

it's not about wins and losses, it's about how they play. I don't expect wins, but I expect to see the team playing harder and smarter than they are. If Butch is "the guy", I don't think I have any sort of over expectation with that.

No, 6-6 was what I wanted. That was the bar in the beginning of the CBJ era. CBJ goal is six wins and six L's and a bowl. He has a slim shot now but it can be done.

it's more that people allowed their initial predictions to drift upwards as the season began. It happens every year. In the spring/early summer most were trying to count the 6 wins so we could get to a bowl. As the summer wore on a fall approached the numbers started drifting to 7-8-9 wins and how we could get there. Now that reality has set in people are disappointed because they allowed themselves to believe this team was better than what they saw last year and in the spring. As I said, happens every single season

I have been worried about the D-line all season with the lack of depth and the number of snaps they have been forced to play. I heard yesterday that McCullers is playing 60 snaps a game they would like for him to play 30-35. I hope this off week gives them some time to get their feet back under them and be able to finish strong.
