Why do i feel like Coach is about to get a raise & some more years on the contract. Especially now with all the BS coming of that state Mexico didn't want after the Alamo.

Didn’t he just get a raise and extension?

I’m sure his existing contract has a pretty sweet bonus for winning the college World Series.

This line of thinking woulda led to CTV in Austin.

I’m biased, but there is no better coach in the country. He needs to be paid a competitive salary consistent with that.

I think I saw where Texas is paying CJS 3.1 per year. Accordingly, Vols should happily put CTV in that ballpark (pun intended).

  • 1. Vanderbilt's Tim Corbin: $1,942,165
  • 2. Florida's Kevin O'Sullivan: $1.755 million
  • 3. LSU's Jay Johnson: $1.65 million
  • 4. Ole Miss' Mike Bianco: $1.625 million
  • 5. Tennessee's Tony Vitello: $1.5 million
  • 6. Texas A&M's Jim Schlossnagle: $1.46 million
  • 7. Arkansas' Dave Van Horn: $1.4 million
  • 8. Mississippi State's Chris Lemonis: $1.3 million
  • 9. Auburn's Butch Thompson: $1.275 million
  • 10. Alabama's Rob Vaughn: $900,000
  • 11. Kentucky's Nick Mingione: $705,000
  • 12. Georgia's Wes Johnson: $702,000
  • 13. South Carolina's Mark Kingston: $695,958
  • 14. Missouri's Kerrick Jackson: $675,000
I am guessing this does not include the WCS bonuses for TV. The buy out for Schlossnagle at TAM was 2.7 million, salary 1.46 million, so Texas must have made him an offer he could not refuse.

I read that it is 3.1.

Give him a million dollar raise to jump past Corbin and make him the highest paid college coach. Lock him up for as many years as possible.

Adding years to a coach’s contract does nothing to keep him. It’s the buyout that counts. You can give TV a 50 year contract, but if the buyout is worth it to another big school they’ll pay it. “
“ It’s all about the money boys”
Just pay him at the top, add top bonuses for each level of advancing in the tournament, and he will stay until somebody wants him more than the University of Tenn.

I agree, but also throw in adequate money for his staff.

It really shouldn’t be hard.
