Anything Butch isn't doing right? lol... If we don't win games this season, it won't be because Butch didn't give his all for Tennessee!

As a lifelong UT fan, and faculty at UT.. it was one of the best days of my life! To have breakfast 10 feet from the field, tour the locker room, hit the "I will give my all for TN" sign, and walk out of the tunnel onto the field.

I appreciate Butch reaching out to faculty in a way others haven't. #VFL

Didn't realize you were on the faculty, but I was waiting to hear from one or two of you. As a parent, the best you can hope for is that these young men get the very best of both worlds.

CBJ gets it. Can't wait to see the improvement on the field. It will take time to compete with the upper echelon of the SEC, however, I think we will be competitive in most games.

It's a feel good story....

But idc if everyone on that team
Has a 4.0 GPA.

If he doesn't win games, he will be tossed aside like any other coach.

I think you might be wrong. Dooley was easily tossed aside b/c nobody loved him. By contrast, Fulmer had and has people who love him, and he was so hard to get rid of that people on this board are still arguing about it three coaches and four or five years later. You might want to think about what that means.

As a faculty member (not at UT), that's pretty cool. My university would have charged $100 a head or required a substantial donation for this, and we'd get stuck with GAs giving tours. There will always be an innate tension b/w the faculty and athletics but this is a good move on CBJ's part. It's no different than the cool kid acknowledging the dork. Take a little time, make people feel important, and it can only help down the road.

Butch is brilliant...If you don't think the professors aren't going to "lighten" up on a few missed assignments or overlook a botched exam or completely ignore the fact that turned in assignment looks nothing like the player's writing then you're nuts.

Buy 'em early and wait for the opportune time to collect!

I'm not being serious!

This sounds great but I've read poster say how McCullers sleeps through class everyday.
