That took some serious guts for that QB to stand there and sell that fake.

I hope they at least sent a thank you note to Boise St head coach Chris Peterson

BSU wasn't the first, but I'd say they got the idea from them.

best QB's at selling fake I've seen are

Peyton Manning
David Greene

i'm sure if he would've had someone actually get near him, he might have flenched, but he was in the clear in every direction.

He'd be gone in no time flat. Simply because Florida sucks... Hell, Ainge could probably take the hand-off in the Liberty himself and the Florida defense wouldn't know the difference.

I can't see any runningback taking a fake handoff

Ainge would be the one scoring in a fake statue of liberty

I know, I forgot to add that someone else would hand it off to him. Lousy shot at a funny by me.

i guess i just get nerved by some things. people remember the almighty peyton's naked bootleg and think he was this all class running qb. he wasn't anywhere near. and because of those memories clausen and ainge take the heat for being extremely immobile. I'm not blaming you necessarily, but if we truly could catch a team offguard and effectively run a fake statue of liberty, ainge could easily waltz in the end zone. ie, if tennessee was in oregon's spot saturday, ainge would've scored on that play.

Hell, I could have scored on that play. The dude could have just trotted into the endzone. IMHO, Ainge is pretty mobile for a great passing QB. I know nothing about Peyton's naked bootleg, either. I wasn't even 10 when he played at UT.

I don't know why we don't see this play at least 8 times a year when we have the ball at the 5 yard line in!!!!!

because if it's not sold well enough, the qb gets murdered. If you run the play all the time it's expected and disaster happens
