Falcons release Mike Vick

I think he deserves a second chance because he served his time. I think he could be effective in the wildcat.

I don't really see the connection between serving time and "deserving" a second chance in the NFL.

He served his time, and now he has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness....the NFL owes him nothing.

He'd signed a ten-year, $130 million contract while he was playing.. The Falcons obviously weren't going to honor the deal any longer. I heard the Rams are expected to be his top suitor.

He is still a world class athlete. And he doesn't have a lot of wear and tear.

Maybe someone can work with him and make him a Kordell Stewart type player. His speed, if used properly, can be very dangerous.

I say good luck to him. He served his time and I hope he gets his life together.

I hope he ends up in the Arena League. Thanks to Matt Ryan, the Falcons have landed on their feet pretty well, but that doesn't change the fact that he basically destroyed the team for a year because he was a complete bonehead. And he was a self-righteous jackass even when things were supposedly going well. I wish him ill.

Falcons though still suffer a $7 million dollar cap penalty for cutting him. That's a pretty big penalty for one player
