If neither Gundy nor Strong work out, hire Petrino or Tressel, if interested. I'd rather have Petrino--I think he'd have a better chance of success.

There is no chance of Petrino coming here. With continued NCAA 'gifts' from Kiffin, hiring a coach with absolutely no morals makes no sense.

Fulmer

It makes sense on so many levels. Hart's checklist?? Phil checks all the boxes. He did not fire Fulmer. If he hired him back and it all worked out, he would have made a huge statement.

Get ready, the morality police are going to descend on you.

(FTR, I'd love either one of these hires) :hi:

apparently FIU fired mario Cristobal with Butch Davis in mind. Apparently the FIU AD has a history with Davis. If he's considering FIU, UT better throw their hat in the ring.

How bad would it be if we did throw our hat in the ring and Butch Davis chose FIU over UT? If that happens, we have even more concerns than any of us realized.

Petrino will never coach here. UK and AU wouldnt even hire him and he was begging for those jobs and it was reported by one of the media guys that Hart told Petrino to stop calling UT about the opening and no way can a man with a 5 yr show cause can be hired by a team already on probation

Funny you don't mention Tressel in your post but do mention Petrino, who to my knowledge doesn't have any major NCAA transgressions to his (sullied) name.

Petrino has no NCAA violations bud
I guess I misread your post, but I still haven't heard anything like your talking about.

If it is true Strong, Gundy, and Gruden are out, Hart's best move IMO is Fulmer. No matter who is hired a large portion of the fanbase will be upset. Much support at all for Fedora? Golden? Dykes? There would be quite a bit of support at least from the Fulmer folks who would still support him as HC. I think there are more who would than alot of people think. This board, is not the majority of Vol Fans. It just makes sense to me.

HC in SEC
National Title
SEC titles
HOF
150+ Wins
Would take the job TODAY for less than 3 million a year.
