I felt like they should have ruled that to be the ball not being ready for play. They have done that at least a few times this year that I've seen. I'm not sure what was different about that one honestly.I agree with you. But that doesn't answers my question. I"m questioning a rule I don't understand that's all.
Thank you.It was a stupidly bad call. This is the false start rule.
"It is a False Start if the ball has been placed ready for play, and, prior to the snap, an offensive player who has assumed a set position charges or moves in such a way as to simulate the start of a play, or if an offensive player who is in motion makes a sudden movement toward the line of scrimmage. Any quick abrupt movement by a single offensive player, or by several offensive players in unison, which simulates the start of the snap, is a false start."
The ball wasn't ready for play, the official was holding up the play for substitutions. We technically could have still subbed the entire team at that point. It's like the officials went brain dead.
Might be good for former players who have radio shows to not say things like the GA stadium not being a tough place to play. EA should have known better. The only negative thing I will say is maybe the next time we are #1 maybe hold off a week to give our qb a mercedes and two other contracts. In the most important game week distractions should be kept minimal. Id say that was a mistake. There are times to do those things.

The Mercedes was the day before the UK game. When it was reported and when it happened aren’t there same. The only negative thing I will say is maybe the next time we are #1 maybe hold off a week to give our qb a mercedes and two other contracts.
