The big frigging deal is that those ******* fans will go to the other teams websites that dont sell out and buy them up...they also will pay 5 times as much as face value for the tournament books just to get their hands on it..no other fan base would even come close to that stupidity. And, Nashville is 2 hours from Lexington and 45 minutes from the state line.

UK fans will pay whatever it takes, early or late, to get into the SEC tourny. UT fans will not.

They save there money during the football season so they spend it all on basketball tickets.

It's hard when UK fans sell their trailers and sell their souls to watch a basketball game.

UK fans use their life savings to come to the SECT. It's not our fault that's all their lives mean.

Because the result is fixed. Why bother? Every other team in the SEC knows that the conference is going to let KY play 8 on 5 every year. Why waste your money and time? It's like paying $100 or more for a WWF ticket.

Because they literally planned out this weekend, booked hotels, and reserved their tickets four years ago when they announced the site of this years tourney.

It was Embarrassing period. I tried getting tickets all week and outside of the arena there were tons of Vol fans. We just didn't get in. I guess they were willing to pay the crazy prices. It's tough for me because I remember $7 tickets at Thompson Bowling less than 10 years ago. (I'm sure that's nothing compared to older fans)

Definitely sad. After moving from Knoxville to Nashville, it was a big culture shock when it came to sports fans. The people out here look for any reason to root against Tennessee and become "fans" of any other team. I still don't understand it.

Were you in attendance? If not, STFU.

Had I had the option...like in fball bowl season, I would have...and the sec ticketing of this thing is not very "robust" for the other 11 teams.

SO, I don't think I'll stfu. Ok!

That's okay, I prefer Knoxville anyway...

Actually Kentucky is closer to Nashville than Knoxville is and their fans are willing to spend the $$$ to buy tickets. Get used to it they will travel to whereever the Wildcats are playing.

The same reason why we sold our bowl allotment in ten minutes. Raided all of VTs allotment in twenty minutes.

I went up and watched the first session for 35 bucks in the club level. Even on thursday, kentucky filled a majority of the seats even though they didn't play that day. with florida, arkansas, georgia, and auburn not bringing any fans, i watched the second session from the club level again for 5 bucks. The minute kentucky was set to play in a session, i knew my tournament watching was over. I personally witnessed on Thursday night tickets selling for 200 bucks for the 3rd session. no way vol fans are paying that for a ticket.

Because a real Volunteer fan gets hives when they are within 30 square miles of the Vanderbilt campus.

This is not even a logical comparison. Yes the STATE of Kentucky is closer to the CITY of NASHVILLE than the CITY of KNOXVILLE. But The CITY of NASHVILLE is a CITY IN TENNESSEE!

What if this game was in Louisville and 90% or more of the fans were wearing orange. That would be a shock! And the fact that it is not a shock that they outnumber us 9 to 1 IN OUR OWN STATE is embarrassing.
