Hard to tell without knowing how many teams in the league and what kind of scoring. At first glance your RB's will be inconsistant at best...

12 teams, espn. I think scoring is standard. I had the 8th pick so most of the running backs were gone so I chose Larry Fitz 1st.

What did the first round look like?

Ehhh, looks like you need to improve your drafting, Larry Johnson may not make the Chiefs.

I think you've got a good QB, and two solid WR for points. You just better hope they rack up because your RBs aren't incredibly promising.

I think you're weak at QB myself, but you will probably get a chance to find a better second QB in waivers, once the season starts and you have an idea what to expect.

EDIT: Look to pick up a sleeper RB too. You need something more from that position.

Rivers had the second highest fantasy total among QBs last season. How is he weak there?
I kind of think he'll have an even bigger year in 09. They realize that LT is on the downward slope, so I think SD will utilize the passing game a little more.

RBs are becoming incredibly overrated in fantasy as more and more teams go to a committee type ground game.

don't get me wrong, i'd love to have Peterson, Turner, Westbrook, etc. (the 'elite' backs) but i wouldn't be losing any sleep over not getting them. also, if you play in a league with the flex position, it's not critical to start 3 RBs.

i like your team.

QB Philip Rivers, SD QB- should be much more consistent than last year
RB Darren McFadden, Oak RB- going to get most of the carries as long as he's healthy. they can say whatever they want in Oakland about the other guys, but the fact is the offense will be the most productive if he's on the field.
RB Larry Johnson, KC RB- his production will continue to go down
RB/WR Cedric Benson, Cin RB-the Bungals were terrible last year, but he put together a few solid games
WR Larry Fitzgerald, Ari WR
WR Randy Moss, NE WR

both WRs are more than capable of putting up RB type points every single week. can't believe you got both of them.

TE Owen Daniels, Hou TE- kinda weak at this spot
D/ST Patriots D/ST, NE D/ST- will be solid as usual
K Neil Rackers, Ari K- i don't worry a lot about kickers

Bench:
Felix Jones, Dal RB
Julius Jones, Sea RB
Kyle Orton, Den QB
Justin Gage, Ten WR
Michael Crabtree, SF WR
Nate Burleson, Sea WR
Brandon Pettigrew, Det TE
Mewelde Moore, Pit RB

dump Orton as soon as rivers bye week has past and add some more depth. i like your RBs on the bench. i think they're all capable of providing good fill weeks but i dunno if i could ride them to the playoffs.

fantasy really is all about injuries and knowing how to work the wavier wire.

he was up and down. i don't think anybody who had him last year felt like they could get the same production out of him every single week.

I ended up with Drew Brees and then I took Pierre Thomas and Brandon Jacobs...Took a chance and grabbed Terrell...He should get plenty of balls thrown to him in Buffalo..

Thanks for all the help guys. I had Adrian Peterson last year so that was nice and Jay Cutler at QB, but had no receivers at all. This is my second year doing FFB, its so addicting. I was so excited yesterday knowing my draft was that night.

All the info out there is very overwhelming.

Also I think Im gonna start Felix Jones over Cedric Benson or Gran mama

Sorry if this looks like a hijack, but I didn't think it merited it's own thread. I'm in a keeper league, where you can keep up to two players. Each player you keep costs you a draft round, so if I keep Adrian Peterson, I don't draft in the first round. If I keep Randy Moss, I don't draft in the second. I won it last year by using a ouija board and a pair of dice to make my decisions, so I draft last.

8 teams, some algebraic scoring system where you get exponential points for weird plays that I don't understand. The question is, do I keep Moss (AP is a definite keeper.)

i honestly would. he's in the top 2-3 as far as Wrs go this year. That's really good value.....though you will be drafting in 1st in the second, so it still is possible someone really good falls...only other option i would say is if you're certain one of the other really good RBs is going to fall that far

most likely the teams that had the guys who were top 8-9 worthy are going to keep them, so it would only be if you thought someone else outside the top 15-16 players was going to have a much much better season (moss is usually about 14th-17th overall). It's going to really depend on who the other guys are keeping.

BTW, I love that you won your championship picking by a ouija board and some di! really shows how truly, fantasy football is more luck than almost anything else :)

I thought I should probably keep him. I forgot to add that I also have Larry Fitzgerald (see why I won it?) but I think I like Moss better, mainly due to the fact that Fitz and Bouldin have to share the football. Any opinion on that?

The Ouija board really comes into effect because I don't understand, or agree, with the scoring. There are multipliers for length of scoring play and scoring "differently" than norm for the position, such as a quarterback running one in, that I think are too big. If I can find a tight end who kicks field goals, I'm pretty sure I can lock up another championship now. As the winner, however, I am barred from complaining too much.

well that would certainly make it tougher. What did you end up doing?

Fitz is higher but youre right moss has to split less and more of his QB's favorite target....depending on who counted as what pick you could have possibly ended up with both again honestly
