Next year...Texas A&M wins the SEC west and "maybe" the SEC and Johnny "football" Manziel up for the Heisman?

Kevin Sumlin in his first year as an SEC coach with a first year SEC team has looked pretty damn good all season. (UT missed out BIG TIME on Sumlin) they just keep getting better and better....they beat the beast!!! and you know that is going to do wonders for recruiting.

he is great...but you know as well as I....he is a freshman...and no freshman will ever win it.

That's really too bad...because he doesn't play like a freshman. Wish the voters would do the unthinkable, and vote based on talent, not classification.

He should be in the talk this year for sure. No doubt, he should be in the discussion the next 2 years as well.

No, already my early front runners to win the SEC next year. But Manziel won't win it this year, next year maybe. Manziel should finish 2nd, but Kansas State QB deserves the heisman.

He has played real good. For TAM to win the West, Bama would have to lose to Auburn and LSU would have to lose either to Ole Miss or Arkansas. TAM still has to play Missouri.

My guess:

1.) Bama
2.) LSU
3.) TAM

Very good for their first year.

Lol @ "lets not get carried away".

lol @ aTm homer

I'm not saying he won't be great, and nothing will take away from the performance on Saturday but the SEC is tough, let's not act like he's already won the Heisman having played fewer than 10 games at the collegiate level.

Waiting on basketball season huh? I see you working.

ugh

I've said this before on this board, I grew up in southeast texas playing football which means I will always be more of a UK football fan than a UK basketball fan. I enjoy the MBB program but I love football.

The Heisman is supposed to be based on ONE season, not any past accomplishments.

Sports Writers need to re-read the "rules" every year before voting.

I'm not saying he's having a bad season, he's having a good season but the OP's question was about next year and all I'm saying is that there are a lot of potential injuries to be had in such a tough division. He's certainly giving himself a great opportunity with all the press he's getting (the nickname isn't hurting in that department by the way) so it's not like it's a long shot, I'm just saying he's 19 so let's not get carried away based on one GREAT game.

Pretty sure the Heisman is a season award, not a career achievement award.

A&M is legit and have shown they can win in this league against its best teams. They should be in the mix next year for the west with Bama and LSU. They have passed up the rest of that side.

Honestly I think A&M was a good fit for the SEC and Mizzou wasnt, Texas a&m sits in the best state for recruiting while mizzou will never be able to compete in the sec. Also Sumlin may be coach of year.
