All new cars will probably be electric in 5-10 years. Never thought I would see electric Chargers and Challengers though.

I would like to see where the electricity comes from to power all those cars, hint, it doesn't exist. Just to run 50% of the passenger vehicles, that means non-farm and non-transport freight vehicles.... would require in the neighbor of 75-100 NEW nuclear power plants. Hint two, electricity production hasn't grown in this county in 15+ years, really hasn't grown in any significant manner in 20+ years. Once you factor in population growth, electricity output is nosediving.

Of course, I won't say its impossible.... if someone wants to kill 80% of the population, maybe. You either have a massive electricity output increase, which isn't happening... or reduce the population massively or the amount of miles driven. The news is science alright... science fiction. Right now and realistically for the foreseeable future.... you can choose to have AC/Heat in your home or an electric car.... there is no practical way to do both as things stand.

Yeah, someone saying we are going to be all electric in the next decade hasn't worked out the math.

It actually gets much worse once you factor in other math issues, getting the energy where it needs to be i.e. recharging stations, plus storage i.e. lithium. Go long land fills.

I won't say its impossible as what these people are really talking about is genocide on a large scale.
