It's Farmageddon, y'all!

This might be the biggest Farmageddon's been in years folks! Spots in the Big 12 Championship game is on the line for both of these teams. ISU is currently #1 in the conference standings at 5-1 (well, they're really more #2 in the standings...Oklahoma State beat ISU but are currently 4-1 since the game with Baylor had to be rescheduled) and KSU is #3 at 4-2.

A win by ISU keeps them on top of the conference and likely helps clinch at least the #2 spot in Big 12 Championship in the long run. However, a win by KSU completely flips the script: moving Oklahoma State up into the #1 spot in the conference, while Kansas State jumps into the #2 spot. (And that's not even getting into the results of The Bedlam Series this weekend, either).

This is the 8th longest continuously series in college football (and apparently the longest among the "never-interrupted" series in college football history). It's the 104th meeting and the all-time series is pretty much knotted up: Iowa State leads it 50-49-4 going into this afternoon's game.

Get much bigger than this? It's Farmageddon time!

I'll put this one on. I kind of like the vibe of Iowa State. Maybe I'll make them my backup while the Vols suck.

ISU just came in and handled business today.

45-0 final. They closed out the second quarter by scoring 3 TDs in the last 6 minutes to put the game completely out of reach at halftime with a score of 35-0.

Iowa State has now won 2 of the last 3 meetings, after a period that saw KSU got 12-2 over the last 14 meetings (and 25-5 against ISU over the last 30 meetings)

Iowa State remains at the top(-ish) of the Big 12 standings and has two games remaining against Texas and West Virginia.

If ISU beats Texas, they're in the Big 12 Championship game, regardless of what happens the weekend afterwards.

If ISU loses to Texas, then they not only do they have to beat WVU the next weekend, but they would HAVE
one of the following Texas lose to either Kansas State or Kansas....if Texas wins out, ISU would be looking at a whole lot of help if OK ST beats OU...OR a comparably less lot of help if OU beats OK St

Otherwise, they're out and the Big 12 Championship is looking at some combination of Texas, OU, and Ok St.
