"war" involves 'action' in my book. I must have watched "Patton" more than 100 times.

If war movies aren’t their own genre, they are a prominent subset of action movies. I too like Patton and have watched it many times.

I saw it at the theater in Ft. Jackson SC during Basic Training, 1970.. When the movie began with his opening speech with the flag & "Attention" bugle call, the entire audience stood at ATTENTION. We forgot it was a movie scene!

The first John Wick completely caught me off guard. I was expecting a turd, but thought it was awesome.
Sicario was another pleasant surprise.

Well, my jaw dropped on seeing you've NOT seen. it. George C. Scott gave a masterful portrayal of George Patton, & the rest of the cast, the action & everything about it is marvelous. Take a couple of hours & watch. You'll thank yourself & the cinemal

 Patton - love it, but not in the same class as ...Ryan or A Bridge Too Far for me. The inaccuracies kind of bug me, although George C. Scott's performance stands above them all.
