Favorite - '98

Least Favorite - '02 - After that season I SWORE I'd NEVER believe preseason hype again. That's why all the hoopla about the upcoming season makes me raise my eyebrows a little.

1998 was my favorite season with 1992 coming in a close second. 1992 was when the foundation was being laid for a new era of UT football.

1988 and 2002 are a dead tie. Thought we would never win in 88 and never thought 2002 would end.

My sentimental favorite season was 1985 when we came out of nowhere to win the SEC and beat two #1 teams along the way.

1988 was probably the worst, but 1986 deserves am honorable mention. Following an SEC title with a 7-5 season truly sucked.

Favorite season...hmm, there are quite a few. Obviously, 1998 is going to top everyone's list here. Besides that, 1985, 89, 90, and 1994 are all right up there. Of course, the first three are all SEC championship seasons. 1994 was not. I pikced that season because, while we started out 1-3, that team showed great character, winning 7 or it's last 8 games. I'll also throw 2001 in there, too. I had alot of fun that year with that team, despite the SECCG.

Worst-1988. starting 0-6...need I say more? 1999 was also disappointing. Not because of the 9-3 season, but more because of the way they lost the games they did. Not showing up in the Fiesta Bowl was very disheartening, especially with that season following up the MNC.

Turkey season, or does that not count?

'95 also comes to mind after the years of frustration against Bama.

'88 was a real rough year to be a Vol fan. Probably one of the low points of recent UT football. I think that's the first time people started to think about Majors leaving. (so maybe it wasn't all bad!)

Think we most agree on the years best and worst! and YESSS i think this off season seems to be a little rough to sit thru'... Guess there's really nothing like that first "Its football time in Tennessee" of the up comming season! That first run thru the "T".

Even the leaves turn orange.....

Y'all remember in '92 when Fulmer had the Vols clicking on all cylinders and we were beating everybody then Johnny Majors came back and we lost to ARKANSAS??

Talk about a letdown.

2001 was awesome besides the sec championship game. we only lost 2 games. that was the year we ended the losing streak at the swamp. :rocks:

1998 was the best for Tennessee, still stung a little bit over that though(but thank you Michigan State for the title that year.)

So personally I'll go with 1997 because I'm a Peyton Manning fan and we won the SEC title that year.

Least favorite was the 2002 season because I was hoping that they'd play for the national title against Ohio State that year.
