In preparation for this weekend's clash in Gainesville, share your favorite Gator "moments." I guess they don't HAVE to involve Tennessee, but if not, they better be really "special."

I'll start with the two most exciting moments I've witnessed at a game:

#1: The Kick. 2004. I'm not sure how you would describe the "Field Goal Dance" after Wilhoit's kick, but my guess is that we resembled a pogo stick on crack. I just remember jumping down the aisle at Neyland toward the endzone while embracing two of my best friends and wishing like heck that we were still young and stupid enough to hop that wall and vault over the security guards lining the field. Hey Zook: see ya' later, alligator.

#2: The Catch. 2003. It was hot, it was sweaty, and both my shirt and the UT offense were a little stinky until that point. We were in the Nosebleeds, about 3 rows from the top of Ben Hill Griffen. The play went away from us and you could barely see what happened, but the groan of the stadium resembled the deep baritone of a rolling alligator and told it all. 30 minutes of football later, and with an even smellier shirt (or had I lost it by then?), we were 2-0 at Gainesville in the 21st century.

Deon Grant's one handed interception in '98, Von Reeves TD pass in '90, and Mose Phillips TD through the rain in '92.

Dale Carter taking the second half kickoff back for a TD in '90. It was the play that opened the floodgates that night.

NO SIR-EE, NO SIR-EE. FINAL SCORE, TENNESSEE 20, florida 17, PANDEMONIUM REIGNS!!!!!

First half of the '95 game in the swamp, at one point we led 30-14. I forget what happened after that... :banghead: but it was a lot of fun for a while...

Ainge driving us into field goal range in a manner of seconds last year late in the 4th Q.

Vol 4 Life,

1990 for me was the best. I was at that one and some awesome seats. It also carried other special meaning for me due to a loss in my family. It help make things better for a short moment.

What was is 3-0 at half then UT went OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still can't believe Peyton never beat them.

2004 - Jinxy Rabbit, Kev, Keeg, Wild Burro, and myself all going crazy after the FG. Downing beers in front of and inside of Mellow Mushroom. Giving out Shoney Bear awards! It was and always will be one of my fondest memories with some great friends.

Anytime they show a close up of Chris Leak's face after the refs are peeling our defensive line off of him.

Anyone have that pic of Spurrier's lips flapping in the wind? I know he's not there anymore, but I really love that shot.

The 1998 game as Florida goes for the "tying FG!" No Sir-ree! No Sir-ree! He missed it. Vols win! Pandemonium breaks loose in Neyland Stadium as the Vols beat the Gators! I even heard that fans even took part of the field with them that night!

I can't believe he didn't either... lets hope the gators say that about Chris Leak years from now!

Oh yeah, how could I forget. The swamp 2001, playoff atmosphere, wildly overconfident gator fans with roses in their mouth, etc etc. I had a gator behind me at kickoff yelling, "lets just get this over with..." which kind of summed up their attitude back then and we were 18 point underdogs. We started out great, jumped up 14-0 if I remember correctly. Gators game back, game went back and forth. I was a freakin' nervous wreck. But Travis Stephens, man that guy had a career game, and the quinessential moment was when he ran over the previously-hyped-as-hard-hitting gators safety... can't remember his name now... on another long run. I could hardly watch when the gators lined up for 2 but failed!!! We walked out with probably a thousand other VOL fans singing Rocky Top. The dejected look on the gator fan's faces was worth all the money I dumped into that trip.

To send spurrier out on a losing note and ruin his chance for a shot at the national championship was PRICELESS!

1990: Carter's return to start the 2nd half, and Von Reeves tight-end pass to Carl Pickens as we poured it on the Gators in the 2nd half.

1992: Sophomore Heath Shuler's scramble for a score, and Mose Phillips screen pass for a touchdown in the monsoon at Neyland back when we still had astro-turf.

1998: Shawn Bryson's long TD run, Peerless's ridiculous TD catch, Wilson and co. battering the Gator QB's, and of course the missed kick to win it in OT.

2001: Travis Stephens running over every Gator defender in route to the most rushing yards at the Swamp since Herschel Walker, and John Henderson, Haynesworth, and Westmoreland knocking the snot out of Rex Grossman.

2003: The Hail Mary, and Chris Leak's indoctrination to the SEC.

2004: Ainge to Justin Reed, Bret Smith, and Wilhoit making up for what could have been the worst kick of his life.

i was definetly one of those crazy VOL fans walking out of that stadium that night singing rocky top and "i said it's great to be a TENNESSEE VOL" and that entire day has GOT to be my BEST UT moment ever just because gameday was there and i went with my dad and we stuck around after the game and heckled the crap out of the gameday crew(mostly corso) for picking us to get our brains smashed in and i saw a couple of uf fans after the game trying to sell back their rose bowl plane and game tickets. man just the thought of that day gets me absolutely FIRED UP AND READY FOR SOME MORE UT FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1990 - We had begun to pull away in the 2nd half when Andy Kelly play action faked to the tailback and handed the ball to TE, Von Reeves, on an End Around who then stopped cold and threw a 50 yard perfect strike to Carl Pickens for a TD.

It was 15 years ago, but still one of the neatest Flea Flickers that I've ever seen.

The best play I have ever seen in a tennessee vs. florida game was when Rex grossman miss threw his pass in the endzone for the two point conversion and sealed the win for tennessee!
