Hey guys I just found this part of the forums. What kind of music do you guys listen to? Do I have any DMB or Third Eye Blind brothers on here? Just thought I'd see for fun.

If this is a duplicate thread in any way I apologize, merge if needed

80's heavy metal back in the good ol' days.

Since I'm older now, I tend to tune into country music. The scary thing, I'm becoming my dad by tuning in talk radio. :eek:hmy:

My car station has been on Jam_On, the Grateful Dead channel or Howard Stern since I got Sirius 2 years ago.

Ugh I hate DMB but I know plenty of people who like them. Third eye blind is good though. I mostly listen to 90's alternative or classic rock. I used to be a big rap fan too but most of the new songs are awful.

Its a tough choice for me when it comes to one band that makes it to #1 for you, and alot of popular choices have been made. For me theres always been one band that just defines greatness and always has a song to quench my mood at a certain point and that band is The Deftones, unfortunately they have been shelved into a category with Korn and Linkin Park and others but their music has always evolved into something new and lyrically just perfect to what im feeling or thinking. I have seen this band more than a dozen times and never been dissapointed and doubt i ever will be. Heres a fan made video of a song off of their last album Saturday Night Wrist, it synchronizes in perfectly with the song .. enjoy

well glad you don't listen or care if you don't like them.

I do like them both, and thus I listen to them both.

I don't paint myself into a corner with music. I can listen to anything as long as it's good from 1920s Jazz like Al Bowlly to grindcore like the Excrementory Grindf***ers.

Dave was my inspiration to start playing acoustic guitar back in college. His earliest shows are still amongst my favorites, and I really like the new album. The "Dave and Tim" recordings are stellar. His influence in both my playing and lyrics is very obvious.

Other favorites: Tori Amos, early MB20, Alice in Chains, Damien Rice, Howie Day, John Mayer, Phish, Widespread Panic, Morphine, 311, Rage, Metallica, Scott Miller/V-Roys, Lucero, and recently, Blue October.

Oh, and love Jack Johnson, too. His show in the drizzling rain at Bonnaroo is one of my favorites.

Very impressed, anyone who like DMB and Damien Rice is more than ok in my book.

Like that list except for widespread, just don't really seem to have much interest in jam bands anymore. I'd recommend Split Lip Rayfield and The Fox Hunt if you don't already know about them, good bluegrass or "old timey music" as TFH likes to refer to themselves.

Split Lip Rayfield and The Fox Hunt

I'll have to check them out, thanks for the suggestion.

I do a lot of driving for work so WSP is a great filler for when I have nothing else to listen to. Jupiter Coyote is my favorite band... Only thing is they have such a unique sound, its hard to find someone similiar.
