I got to thinking on another thread about visiting other schools and hanging with their fan bases so I thought I'd see if others have some good stories. There is a group of 4 of us that went to UT when dinosaurs roamed campus and we have been going to away games (and some bowl games) for over 10 years now. I really can't think of any place that wasn't great and where we didn't have fun, but one of the best ones that sticks out in my mind is Ole Miss and The Grove. The summer dresses and pop up tents with tons of food and TV screens is amazing. Beautiful campus as well. The Eagle in Auburn is amazing as a tradition.
Our best story was the USCjr game a few years ago in Columbia. We had played golf the day before, and Saturday morning it was sleeting and colder than Nick Saban's heart. We usually rent a house somewhere to stay and we were about an hour away. The sleet was supposed to let up by game time which it did and we decided to go instead of staying at the warm house and watching on TV. Anyway, the Vols never showed anything the entire game and when USCjr went up by 14 with something like 4 minutes to go we did something we NEVER do. We left. On the ride back to the house our phones were blowing up about what a great game yada yada yada and how lucky we were to have been there. Egg meet face.
