Favorite Tom Hanks film(s)?

Tom Hanks is undoubtedly my favorite actor of all time and at least half of my top 10 consists of films he has starred in. Mine would have to be The Green Mile. Such a great film although not the most upbeat.

My top 5 would be:
The Green Mile
Forrest Gump
Road To Perdition
Cast Away
Saving Private Ryan

Which film(s) by TH is/are your favorite?

Pretty good list, although I have not seen the third. He did a wonderful acting job in Philadelphia.

SPR is my favorite, with Green Mile and FG tied for second.

I haven't seen Philadelphia yet. I actually have it recorded on dvr to watch.

Only one I've seen is Forrest Gump. I didn't like it though. Made me feel bad for being fully functional. I hate movies like that, I don't like to see people have to deal with handicaps.

Man, you need to check out some of his other films...missing out. Unless you felt Forrest Gump ruined TH to you.

No one here has mentioned Da Vinci Code. I've never seen it, though.

Also, while it isn't my thing, most girls I know love Sleepless in Seattle.

The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons are ok. I suppose if you're deeply religious and Catholic you're going to have a problem with them.

Hanks has starred in some pretty awful movies, The Bachelor Party, The Burbs, Joe vs. the Volcano to name three.

I haven't seen Road to Perdition or Philadelphia.
