Based on this I must be a moderate.

What's wrong with the conservatives ?
The Daily Show With Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report listed on their least favorites list.

As a fiscal con I can say that TDS in particular is relentlessly cynical with regard to con ideals. After a while, it's the same old joke. Individually, the bits are good. Taken as a whole night after night it is just boring and boorish.

I enjoy it. The last couple of nights were particularly good with the Pokemon Caine quote, the Trump debate mocking, and slightly the war on Christmas (although the Jewish connection left some doors open).

I didn't watch any of their "favorite" shows, except occasionally The Office and Modern Family.

I do watch a few of their "least favorite" shows. I am very surprised that the article claims Republicans hate South Park. In my own experience, my Republican friends love South Park. I would venture to guess South Park makes fun of Democrats more. There's even a whole movement called "South Park Republicans".

This is true. Stone and the other guy are libertarians IIRC

The American people need to know what porn their representatives watch before another vote is cast/

Good for conservatives liking the BBC version of Top Gear. People who prefer the History Channel version, should they exist, need their head examined.

The History Channel one hasn't been cancelled yet?

If not, it's well past time to do so. It seems like every second of the American version is scripted right down to the way the hosts act. As Jeremy Clarkson said in an interview, "You can't engineer chemistry."

Hrm.

It appears that 'conservatives' like shows that teach them something. Not always, but at least as a rule of thumb.

It appears that 'liberals' like shows about crap and avoid shows where you learn. Not always, but at least as a rule of thumb.

May that somehow explain positions taken by both sides?

Btw, Raising Hope is hilarious. But, it is rare for my TV to be on anything other than sports, news, discovery, TLC, History, NatGeo, Food, or Animal Planet.

I liked History, TLC, NatGeo, and Discovery back when they actually taught you things. Now it's all just ridiculous crap shows. I watch a lot of IFC, BBC, and Showtime now. Still enjoy some Mythbusters from time-to-time.

They used to be better, no doubt. Have you tried all the other Discovery channels? They are a lot better than regular Discovery.

I don't know. I barely watch TV and I'm not even sure if I have any other Discovery channels. I've had Dish Network for the past 3 months in my new apartment and I just got it hooked up to my TV two nights ago. My roommate watches TV all the time, though. I believe I used to watch Science Channel a lot when I had Mediacom, but I don't think I have that.
