I won't try to list my picks as I am senile and can't remember everyone but I will add this. No one has mentioned the most famous defensive lineman of all time... Doug Atkins. Neither has the arguably best center, Bob Johnson, been mentioned. Bill Majors would have to be among the defensive backs. There have been some good running backs at UT including Beattie Feathers, Reggie Cobb, Chuck Webb, Curt Watson, Travis Henry, Jamal Lewis and others. Perhaps Jamal is the best of this group.

There have been a lot of great UT players down through the years, but there are only 22 positions to fill a team. Somebody would be excluded on anybodys list. We all mentioned whomever we did, for what ever reason we have to mention them.

You are right though, doug atkins came to mind as I was filling out my offense. By the time I got around to my defense, I had forgot him.

Yes doug atkins was great but not won of my favorites. I rather have Reggie white over Atkins any day of the week.

zurcmyster i beleive your right.... Absolutely INCREDIBLE catch.... it was only like a 30 yard pass. You maybe thinkin of the one i beleive in a bowl game against boston college where we threw it down to there 1 yard line! this was like a fly route in between the corner and the safety playing zone!

My favorite combo was the few games that Chuck Webb and Reggie Cobb were together. I'll never forget the opening drive of the '89 Georgia game - 7 plays, 80 yards, 0 pass attempts.

We beat Auburn that year throwing it like 10-15 times.
