Favre wants out of Green Bay?????

He doesn't want to leave. He was frustrated that GB didn't trade for Moss. This is very understandable considering Moss was willing to wipe out his contract for 3 mil guaranteed and Oakland wanted a 4th round pick. Brett even offered 3 mil of his own contract to bring him in. He was talked out of wanting to leave but the weird thing is that he says he believes everyone in management wants to win but he isn't so sure that he does.

I read that quote to mean that he knows that the organization wants to win, but he doesn't know that their plans include him. He seems to think they may be going into a rebuilding mode, which he doesn't have time for. The quote: "I'm not getting any younger and I think everybody knows that," Favre said. "I don't have five years to rebuild. ... I don't know if I've lost faith, and I think everyone in the organization wants to win. I just don't know if it includes me. If it's going to be five years from now, I'm not going to be here. This is 17 years for me and I want to win [now]."

I'm not especially a fan of Favre's, but I think he can play well enough to help some of the teams in the NFL, but GB may be a situation for him now. He might have been a good fit in Baltimore before they picked up McNair, for example.

That's how I feel...I think Favre is still capable of leading an NFL offense...I think he's still among the top 10 starting qbs in the league. But, if he wants to win, Green Bay is not the place for him.

I think Chicago would be a good destination...New Orleans and Baltimore would have been good teams also. He just doesn't have the weapons to throw to, or the run support that he needs, in Green Bay.
