There seems to be a lot of non-VOL fans posting pro-Dooley comments. Is somebody SCARED?

My biggest "fear" is that our players will be coached up and get much better and we start going to bowl games and become relevant in football again. No Wait!!!!

Fear no.......buzz in KVille.....yes. There is a new sheriff in town in CBJ. So far, I like what I see in terms of work ethic and recruiting. Man is passionate about his job. He is willing to strive for the demands of the fan base. Others in the SEC are on notice!

Dooley was a for sure WIN if you faced him pretty much....every non-VOL fan hates seeing that go away. Then you hire someone that has an actual history of winning and of course non-VOL fans are going to be uneasy about it.

I think people know we will return to prominence soon & they think Jones will do it, so they are rattled. Not sure how people have time to look at other schools sites...must be boredom...

Is this thread serious? All Knoxville has been recently for our opponents is a beautiful place to get a win. I hope this changes and we are feared again but Jones does not have the football world quaking in their boots.

He may not be a Saban but I don't think he's a Dooley
either. Ah, the old wait and see again.

GO VOLS!

Think about it and ask if this seems logical on any level. Do you think there is even one person in the entire country that has given more than a rat's a$$ thought to whoever is coaching Tennessee? Much less to worry about it? And do you think anybody cares enough to go to another team's message board and sew seeds of discontent that would "divide the fanbase" of that team?
Why would they give a crap what the fanbase thinks? Do you go to florida or uga or bama message boards and try to divide the fanbase?

Anybody claiming that they knew Saban was 'Saban' at the same point in his career that Jones is at is clueless.

I remember following Saban's career a little bit. I did because of his dad. I liked the Bill's during O.J. and when they were losing all those Super Bowls. I liked Buffalo because it was a blue collar city. Anyway I remember when he was on the hot seat at Michigan State then all of a sudden he went like 10-2 and he became 'Saban'.

Memory must be a little fuzzy. He was never on the Hot Seat at Michigan State. And his team went 10-2. He was 9-2 when he up and left for LSU.

I'm not sure where all the pro-Dooley comments are. I haven't seen too many posts from non-Vols singing Dooley's praises.

Maybe a little fuzzy it's been a while but I do know there were some disgruntled fans about the 3rd year he as there and was wondering if he was their man. His last couple years there turned things around IF I remember correctly. You're a fan so you probably know better.

Seriously?

People fearing Butch Jones? People fearing UT?

That does not happen any longer. Troy would not even fear UT any longer. UK and vandy either.

It may come again, but nobody fears UT right now. Hopefully CBJ can change that.

He was turning the program around, though staying around the 6-6 record mostly. MSU even knocked off #1 OSU to get UT in the top spot. There may have been a few disgruntled fans, but the majority were happy in the direction they were headed. I remember there being a huge uproar when he left for LSU.

Don't know how true it is, but I read that Saban sent a plane from LSU to MSU to pick up his assistant coaches...and none of them got on board.
