There’s been a good bit of discussion how Bryce Young and company seemed uptight and anxious at the beginning and at other times of the game. They’ve played in all the loud, raucous, and big time arenas, but what made Saturday’s game more intimidating and different? It was by far the most difficult venue for any worthy opposing team in the country, especially given the circumstances. However, I can’t help but think that the Kiffin pelting last year may have added a little fear in the back of their heads. I didn’t like it at the time and still don’t, but it may have added a psychological dimension that factors in with the volume and walls of surrounding Vols.

I liked the interview with Brady Quinn talking about the football moving on the ground it was so loud. Our fans are great, puppy fans down here are begging people to try to keep Tennessee fans out of Sanford stadium, cause they're afraid of it being like death valley.

A few weeks back Brady Quinn was talking about when he played in Neyland back in 04. He said his center turned around to tell him that the ball was moving on the ground with no one touching it.
My son was at the game Saturday and has been to probably 50 games in his lifetime. He called me and said after the kick he could feel the stadium shake.

That's crazy! I remember watching it on t.v up here my dad is a huge Notre Dame fan. On opening kickoff that Notre Dame kick returner got erased I looked at my dad and said welcome to Rocky Top lol would like to see more of that match up in the future. You could feel the energy though the t.v.

My first game at Neyland was 1965. I was a student '75-'80 and have been a season ticket holder (my parents seats, then mine) since then. There were some loud games there , Florida '98, and up to now I'd put the Oklahoma game as the loudest I've seen. That is until last Saturday. I brought a friend that had never been to a game in Neyland before and wasn't a Tennessee fan. Just a guy I worked with down at Kennedy Space Center in the '80s who happened to be up and I had an extra ticket. He was blown away by the experience. I loaned him an orange shirt and the next morning as we were eating breakfast at the hotel, he asked "Can I buy that shirt from you?". I laughed.. "Man you can have that.. I have a 3 foot swath of orange hanging in my closet". What an experience. Proud of Vol Nation for the way that turned out, and proud of me, for not dragging one of my Bama buddies to the game. Didn't need any more crimson in there than what was already there!

We've got to be careful. UK came in two years ago and whipped our butts. The stadium doesn't scare them.

If we play a perfect game, we will win. We can't let our success get to our heads. I hope the team is mentally prepared.

I work with two guys that played for Vandy - one as DE and the other as LB.
The DE played in the early 2000s and the LB played under Franklin.
BOTH have said the one place they dreaded playing was Neyland because by halftime you almost needed to have ear plugs, it was that loud and constant.

Our men are doing a good job of bringing that fear and dread back to our house !!!

The stadium containing disillusioned fans suffering under Pruitt didn’t scare them. FIFY😉
