There was a Nole fan sitting 1 row ahead of me, and I didnt see anybody do anything to her, but I know that every team's fans has its set of bad apples. I can only imagine what would happen to me if I came up to Knoxville for a game. I'd probably experience the same thing as you did in "Goberville". :eek:

No offense personally or any other decent gator fan. As I have stated before I have attended SEVERAL (5) games at the dump (swamp) w friends. Four SEC schools were involved along w 1 non FL. school. The only common theme obvious at all of those events WAS how unclassy, ignoranrt, unruly, arrogant & out of line YOUR UF STUDENT POPULATION IS! Like it or not, my friend you guys have some inexcusable, drunk, spoiled, unclassy, overbearing, spiteful, mean youthful fans. I have been to over 70 arenas, stadiums & coliseums there is NO doubt uf has the most UNCLASSY of all. If there are any worse, I WILL NEVER KNOWINGLY VISIT THEM!!!!!!!!

Brookhaven, McComb, Meridian, Crystal Springs, Hattiesburg, Bay St. Louis, Tupelo, Natchez, Moss Point, Jackson, Sardia, V'b, Yaz City, Gulfport, Greenwood, where?

yeah, basically....and usually when people ask, i just say memphis, and then they alwasy f/up with what part? and then i have to get in to the, well, not memphis, but north ms, southaven....etc...it's really not worth the time.

I understand the chess match that exists in college competition. Bruce Pearl seems to be a master at the game. He's already gotten opposing head coaches thinking about him and that's a good thing. He's supported enthusiastic participation by the UT students, coming just short of endorsing the Court Rush.

Mr. Foley was simply moving his pawns about the board when he voiced his displeasure with the students enthusiastic behavior following the UF loss. Now, it seems the next move is up to the UT Administration. Will they put in place the measures neccessary to prohibit the next Court Rush? Do they really want to? What's 25 G when compared to the great publicity the basketball team is generating?

If we were to beat Kentucky at Thompson, would the university turn their heads and allow a repeat?

Now, I'm not saying it's right to break the rules, but I am going to say it's a stupid, idiotic rule made neccessary only because of the lunacy of those losers in the state of South Carolina, namely Clemson and USC, who fought like street thugs after their 04 game.

I also seem to remember, when this rule was being discussed following the 04 season, Mr. Foley being one of those strongly opposing the rule.

Does anyone else remember this?

If my memory is correct, don't we have to assume that it's an act of real hypocrisy that he'd complain after opposing the rule?

My ex wife is a Gator. More than once I (along with my Vol loving genius kids :D ) have been the object of scorn in Gainesville. Once she got tickets from the "law department" that ended up being in the student section. By half way through the 1st qtr the kids and I were on our way back to the car to watch the game (UF-AU) on tv. I have been to most SEC schools for games and have never encountered anywhere near the crass, rude, classless behavior (even towards the kids) that is always present in Gainesville.

Uf's student section is a total embarrassment to the SEC, the NCAA, the State of Florida, the Great Region of the South, & humanity as a whole.

YET FEARFUL FOLEY wants to bitch about such things as fans rushing the court & S.Carolina Fans MOCKING that silly gator chomp thing.

C'mon man!!!!!! Get Real!!!!!!!!

I've seen posts here from some claiming MSU, OH. St., WVa., and others have bad fans, I sure that's right from their prespective. I dare ANY OF THOSE FANS to sit in the uf student section & if by the end of the first quarter (AT THE LATEST) they don't think the Horse Shoe Fans are a bunch of girl scouts in comparision. I'll kiss their butts.

WHY the SEC hasn't done anything against those thugs, is beyond me...

I was in Starkville in 94 when they beat us....i literally had to push and shove people off of me to get out of the stadium. As i was leaving, there were several students chasing me with lit lighters trying to set my car flag on fire!!! ridiculous.

You have LOST YOUR MIND !!!! Scary everytime, without exception, when I was there. You may get a stray one here or there at a UT game, but you won't have to defend yourself.....10 people in orange will !! As a number of my freinds from opposing teams have told me " everyone was asking how my visit was, tellin' me where to eat, and telling us good game and thanx fur coming". THAT IS NOT THE EXPERIENCE WE HAVE AT OPPOSING STADIUMS. As a traveling fan that also has been to many games outside the conference I will unabashedly tell you that your venues are TERRIBLE....not one time ....everytime. Now that thats out of the way, the fans that visit our site here(i.e. you and Lawgator...et al) are great to have around !!! Keep coming please, but defending a visitors experience at a gator venue is absurd! .....and Foley needs to but on a big UT at his next homegame or keep his mouth shut about FEAR and SCARED. It's a joke!!

I've clarified my experiences (multiple games at the dump) w DIFFERENT teams from around the SEC & country. Uf student behavior is a disgrace to the SEC & beyond.

No offense intended to the good gators, but your students are as close to heathen as anywhere I've ever been. The behavior inside the stadium & even outside the stadium boundry is WAY OUT OF LINE!

Absolutely NO CLASS in any shape, form or fashion. As I stated earlier I am totally shocked the SEC has not done something to crack down on YOUR problems!

For the betterment of humanity, something needs to be done!!!!!!!

Yet some feel it is more degrading to mock doing that silly gator chomp thing with the fingers vs the arms than to have bodily fluids or beer or mad dog 20-20 thrown at opposing fans, opposing coaches, opposing coaches family or for that matter any damn body!!

The pinnacle of arrogancy!!!!!!!!
