February cannot get here soon enough! I'm not one to wish for time to pass any faster than it does, but I will be so glad when national signing day is here and gone. I TRUELY hope we can keep this class together (which I think we will), get them on campus, and start their development. I know crazy things ALWAYS happen leading up to NSD...but I think this group of kids chose UT for all the right reasons...therefore hopefully won't be swayed by other program's sales pitches. Here's to a bright and optimistic future!!

I'm with you. This class isn't going to make us immediate title contenders, but it sure is one heck of a step in the right direction.

Good post OP!! :clapping:

A couple commits always end up not qualifying, changing their minds, grades, etc. If that happens the Negavols will come out the wordwork as per usual. :banghead2:

Just know that this is a FANTASTIC class reguardless of how the final rankings end up, and thats all the matters!

I couldn't agree more. I'm very excited about this group. Give them two years in the program and I think several of them will make serious noise.

When one looks at the speed of this class as well as the size, we can't help but be excited. I expect that over 20 of this class will contribute right away, with many contributing sizable amounts of playing time. The speed at LB, DB, TE, and WR is just great. This class will have a significant immediate impact. Can't wait for the O&W game to see the 16 EEs and how much they have progressed.

I know many of the Vol Nation are concerned about retooling the OL. I believe we are in for a pleasant surprise. Same for the DL and LBs.

What happens if Nick goes to the other U.T. and Bama's recruiting class falls apart?

Do we get any of their recruits???????

The good thing is that all the JUCOs five players sign on December 18th. One Weathered want enroll in January so that leaves 10 spots of EE's which means half the class will already be signed or in school. That leaves 19 guys to hold on to until February. I can see us not losing any of those so looks like this class is solid. Might see one or two guys flip to another team but that could be because of numbers.
