I think the players showed a lot of heart tonight. I just do not feel like they are getting the coaching they deserve. AJ Johnson made some movements in overtime like he was fed up while looking to the side lines. I think I could run a route against some of our DB's and catch a pass. The head coach has no fire, no self accountability. Not all coaches are bad. But there are some that should be fired tomorrow.

Here's to the players. I truly believe you gave your all today.

Yes, I do know there are threads out there saying similar things. I just wanted to give some players props.

I'm with ya but the secondary is so slow. Receivers are always open and once they get a step its a touchdown.

I agree they are slow. I also think some of the blame belongs on the players. You know they get coached up on some of things that look so bad. Just have to wonder how that coaching goes. Defensive players always out of position is mind boggling.

I wish I could have been in the locker room post-game. Would love to have had the opportunity to tell the players that they are appreciated, and thank them for playing their hearts out today. Too bad they had no decent coaching on defense.

Have always backed the players even as I have called for Dools firing. I feel for the players, they are doing what they can and the offense is doing fantastic. But the kicking and defense are killing this team. Some of it is bad scheme on D. Part of it is the players' abilities. But remember, Dools is a great recruiter everybody said. Fail.

The break downs by seasoned players are inexcusable. As an example, Gordon seemingly cannot keep track of his man beyond the first 5 yards all year and last year and the year before. So don't play him. You are better off playing the young guys and getting them experience. Coleman got beat a couple of times, but at least he was covering his man. Once again it was the read option counter and sweeps that killed them. Mizzou did not have a good offensive game plan in the first half. They did not use the RB and Franklin ran it with no success. In the second half they started using the RBs more and gained big, which killed the original 3-3 scheme that worked in the first half. Once our D had to move in to stop the run, it broke down in the passing game as it always does. The started using the nickel and dime packages and the track meet began.

All the opposing QB has to do is spread the field and look for his best match-ups in the passing game because our staff refuses to use zone. Then run counters, draws and sweeps to draw the LBs in. All of which is what Vandy and UK will try to do in the next 2 weeks.

I would agree up to a point with the "I feel bad for the players"...but the second half was a meltdown on both sides of the ball. The offense couldn't get back on track and the defense just completely fell part.

Bray had 257 yds in the first half and got a bit less than half that in the second half in regulation. The defense played it's best of the year with under 100 yds in the first half and Mizzou almost tripled that in the second half. They and the coaches need to realize there are four quarters in a game which they haven't realized for the whole season.

Would you mind dropping by the coaches offices tomorrow morning? tell the desk you are Sunseri's long lost son and gain entrance to coaches meetings.. Appreciate it.

when you cant get pressure on the qb or contain him in the back field the receivers will eventually get open no one can maintain coverage

The players are one of the main reasons so many people have been anti-Dooley. It's obvious that they deserve better.

I feel bad for Bray. The numbers don't lie he is the best QB UT has had since Peyton. If the defense is this hard to watch for me as a fan imagine being bray.

Agree; I've always backed the guys on the field. While it may be true that our roster doesn't have the number of 5-star recruits that Bama or UF has, it doesn't mean that these guys aren't coachable. They're all tallented guys, and hard work can carry you pretty far. But, developing these guys is where some of the coaching has fallen short.

You have to feel bad for these guys. Not one of them that came here was expecting to be so poorly coached.

Numbers do lie. Colt Brennan and a number of Texas Tech QB's have some of the best stats in NCAA history. There are a ton of QB's that have lesser numbers that I'd take over them. You also have to factor in having a running game to take away attempts and touchdowns from the QB. Bray might be the best QB after Peyton but it's not just because of where he sits on a list of passing numbers. Fwiw, I'd probably take Clausen over Bray. He was clutch.

If you are serious about Clausen please check yourself into the looney bin tonight.
