The dark days are past, we have a brighter tomorrow. I honestly have no clue who or what to beleive in regards to Jon Gruden. But what I do have is faith in Dave Hart to get the job done. If we dont get Gruden which very likely, then its because he just wasnt interested. Our long term goal should be the best coach for Tennessee. Gruden is all showbiz and hes a brand. The last time we got flashy, we were burned. Im just saying maybe we do need a top notch SEC guy. I would feel great about keeping Chaney at OC with Graham. Least we forget, our offense was one of the most if not the most dynamic in UTs history. Top of the SEC offense. Just bring in a defensive minded coach in Dabo, Gundy, or Fisher. Dave knows what he is doing. His track record speaks for itself.

....after he is told what to do.....and appropriate checks signed :)

I really dont think it works quite that way. We have no clue what the big money boosters say or think. Its a matter of opinion how you choose to view things. You can beleive guys at their word like Brent Hubbs, or beleive message board guy. I would love Jon Gruden, but if you look at the situation objectively, you cant be 100% set on him coming. We have to be prepared for multiple options. This whoke time Ive been vocal about Al Golden WTF are we thinking? Until I did some research on the guy and I would be glad to support a guy like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sU9i0CEToE8&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Whether we hire Gruden or not.....a near empty war chest, and a need to hire a great coach, mean the Boosters with money who will actually fund the hire will have control. I mean assuming Hart wishes to have a career here.

Hart I think will be a great AD, but unless he has found 25-59 mil to go on a hunt, he needs sign off by those who do.

I wouldn't go that far.... lots of talanted coaches to be had, and I can guarantee one or two of the people we might consider now that many "fans" would not be jazzed about will be the next great hire people will wish they had hired down the line......which are those coaches, and which are the lemons are hard to say.

Gruden if possible though is just a no brainer.

IF gruden isn't possible or fell through. Take this stupid HC experience limitation off the table....

Some Great choices would be Kliff Kingsbury (Saban couldn't argue that one), Charlie Strong, Bob Diaco....or heck kill two birds with one stone and hire Kirby Smart.

Gruden may be the best choice now...he certainly seems to be and like a dream come true. But of those names some school will hire them and be in a BCS championship game in the next few years.... There's others too.....

I don't recall Hart ever making a major hire. Bowden was already in place at FSU.

I do feel good. Some things within the program were tidied up. We'll have draft picks this year and next to watch on the next level. Our trenches have some promise for the first time in years.

Depends on who comes and the game he brings. The college game has evolved. You have to use every rb, wr, te and qb on the field as a weapon and that includes a qb that makes 3rd and 5 miserable on the D. For many years now, 3rd and 5 has meant pass, even when its possible 4 down territory.
We need to evolve to a college football offense, and of course, an entirley revamped defense.
Excited to see what's coming.. I surely don't expect it to be as bad as the last 5 years. Glad Dooleys gone so it wouldn't be like an albatross all off season.
