Josh Heupel is one of the best coaches in College Football. His staff is great also. Heupel is an offensive wizard like Steve Spurrier minus the smart mouth. Heupel knows how to relate to players. Him and his staff develop talent. My favorite thing about Heupel is he is a cool customer. Never gets rattled. Any offensive studs playing High School Football should be wanting to play in Heupel's system. Especially kids in Tennessee.

I am amazed at the job Heupel has done at Tennessee. After the 2020 season I thought UT Football would never be back. Jeremy Pruitt was the 3rd of terrible hires for Football coach at UT. Derek Dooley and Butch Jones were terrible. After Pruitt was fired about 40 players went into the transfer portal. Lot of them were starters coming off a 3-7 season. Rather than make excuses Josh Heupel went to work. He never said anything about wait till I get my players. He started coaching up the players he had. In less than 2 years UT is ranked 3rd in the nation with huge wins over Florida,LSU and Alabama. If someone had told me when Heupel was hired that UT would be ranked #3 in the country with the #1 offense in the country I would have asked them what they were smoking. Haven't been this pumped up about UT Football since 1998.

It looks like we have a great coach. I am 92% sure of it. Will withhold final judgement until we see how next season goes. Remember Coach O looked like a great one in 2019. But the signs all look good so far

First… I totally agree that being a Vol is a LOT more fun since Danny White and Josh Heupel came to town. We’re in a new era of college football. Time was, a new coach had something like 3 years to build “ his team, with his players”. The transfer portal and NIL $$$ have changed the game forever. I’m not here to debate that. Those debates have already been held and like it or not, here we are. What I am grateful for is that our new coach and AD understand the new era and are clearly able to work effectively in it.

Need to see if he can get another QB ready the way he did with Hooker. I think he can, but that is the true test.

All things considered of course i would rather be sitting watching a coach who is showing excellence and hoping they stay that way than the last several who who mediocre (at best) and hoping they would do better

We're in an even better place than we were in Dickey's second year.

Because Dickey had Gator swamp water in his blood. He was destined to leave before he even got to Knoxville.

Josh Heupel does not have Oklahoma red river water in his system, Bob Stoops saw to it that was flushed out.

A year and a half ago, Dan White gave Josh a Pantone 151c transfusion. He has given himself a couple of big refresher doses since. And he now bleeds orange. He'll bleed orange for the rest of his professional life.

Okay, imagine what Doug Dickey could've done in Knoxville if he'd stayed.

That's what we have in Josh Heupel.

I honestly believe we're going to see Josh pass right by Phillip Fulmer's legacy on the way to building one to rival the General's.

I look forward to us finding out together how right that is.

Danny and Josh are like wonder twins.... a dynamic duo... I want to keep them both for like a decade...

A decade? Josh is 44, and Dan is 42. We have 30-40 years with these young men at the helm.

Strap in, it's gonna be one helluva ride. Some young adults among us right now will have grandkids before it ends.

Go Vols!

They might have that in them, but not sure our civilization does.

Some have no idea....

I wish I was as optimistic about western civilization.
We'll be okay, brother.

It will be stupid, and weird, and cringe at times, and not at all the way we'd all have liked it to be, but the human race will muddle through. We always find a way to muddle through.

Not saying there won't be pain and misery along the way. There usually is.

But we'll come out the other side alright.

Go Vols! Go Humans!

In 2020 the Vols had 12 rushing TD’s and 14 passing TD’s FOR THE WHOLE SEASON. In 2022—talk about balance—TN has 23 TD’s in EACH of those categories. Amazing how much this program has made in two years.
