Field Goal

It looked like he jumped over the gap... but still i think he touched a UT player which should make it a penalty. You can jump straight up but not over while touching an opponent.

I think it called leaping. Here is the full rule best I could find it for college football. This is for punts and field goals. If the player is within 1 yard of the line of scrimmage they can hurdle and gaps are fair game, atleast that's my understanding. Also he hurdled, hit the ground and jumped again to block the kick, he didn't use a TN player as an advantage to block the kick.

No defensive player, in an attempt to gain an advantage, may step, jump or stand on an opponent.

It is a foul if a defensive player moves forward and tries to block a field goal or try by leaving his feet and leaping into the plane directly above the frame of the body of an opponent.

It is not a foul if the player was aligned in a stationary position within one yard of the line of scrimmage when the ball was snapped.

It is a foul if a defensive player who is inside the tackle box tries to block a punt by leaving his feet and leaping into the plane directly above the frame of the body of an opponent.

It is not a foul if the player tries to block the punt by jumping straight up without attempting to leap over the opponent.

It is not a foul if a player leaps through or over the gap between players.

No defensive player, in an attempt to block, bat or catch a kick, may: 1. Step, jump or stand on a teammate. 2. Place a hand(s) on a teammate to get leverage for additional height. 3. Be picked up by a teammate, or be elevated, propelled or pushed.

PENALTY [a-d]—15 yards, previous spot and automatic first down. [S38

Contact with the Snapper
The long snapper or snapper is the player who hikes the ball to the holder, who then holds the ball for the kicker to attempt the field goal. The snapper is usually in the middle of the line. According to NCAA rules, the side trying to block the kick attempt cannot contact the snapper for at least one second after he snaps the ball. The only exception is if the snapper initiates or starts the contact with the defense. This rule is to prevent the defense from bowling over the snapper as he moves the ball and getting an easy blocked kick.

What #47 did on field goal was an illegal play. A defensive player cannot hurdle or jump over an offensive player to try and block a fg attempt. I guess the turd fans won't bring that up?
I thought that applied only to the snapper. Might be wrong.

In regards to the snapper, TN uses a weird set up with the snapper so 47 was in the middle where the snapper normally would be but he was a player or two over. He never was close to the snapper.

Looked to me like he just hurdled the gap as he ran right between the guard and center. Illegal or not, that can't happen.
