Fiesta Bowl Game Thread: #2 Ohio St (13-0) vs #3 Clemson (13-0) (ESPN 8PM EST)

Don’t underestimate the teams playing tonight. Burrows and the receivers can be stopped by an athletic defense that plays aggressive. Look at what the Seahawks did to Manning and the Broncos. This ain’t your Sooners defense.
I honestly think LSU might have more trouble against OSU than Clemson. Who knows?

it's all relative to competition - Penn St was supposed to have a top 10 defense but OSU, Minnesota and Memphis (at least) all put up big numbers against them.

I gotta wonder what the defensive backfield skill of the Big 10 is compared to other leagues
Yep, I think heading into the Michigan game Ohio St was only giving up something like 120 yards passing per game or something ridiculous like that. They clearly have a good D but that also means you aren’t playing good passing teams.

I get that...but in this instance, the WR extended to try to catch it. As he tried to bring it in, the DB swiped it out. It didn't happen 5 yards downfield. It was 1 fluid motion.
He took 3 steps with the ball firmly in control. That should be a catch any day of the week.

LSU defense is as good maybe better than either team.

as an example UAB has been a top 10 team in defense all year but they played truly terrible teams
