Final Four

No, I'll be at Gulfstream Park taking in the Florida Derby on Saturday.

Can't stand the 'stream. Too much of a speed bias for me. Same thing for the turf at TBD.

Give me the soft surface and the closer at Churchill every time.

You obviously didn't watch the Derby that Monarchos won. The parking lot outside Churchill was a softer surface than the track that day.

I love to bet the big three its a lot of fun. The last track of the three is the longest and the softest so I was told to look for a horse with endurance.

An exception amongst the standard Derby plot.

Stalkers can do well if the closers have traffic trouble, but when I bet the race -- and I always do -- give me any horse that was able to close either at Gulfstream or Santa Anita in fileds of less than ten and I'm boxing them in the exacta until my checking account is frozen by the fraud department at Suntrust.

LAW me and my girl always go to the dog track and bet for the three races and then get in a lil poker time. Great atmosphere for a race

I doubt I'll go for the derby this year. Big golf plans at the moment. But you never know.

This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer gets an inside tip while on the subway. "His mother was a mudder"

And anyways, Hat, it isn't like Monarchos was in the first flight. He went six wide to win it.

Always a speed duel up front. Which is silly for a mile and a quarter with 17 horses.
