This was determined by taking the Individual Recruit Rivals Rating for each player on each team and dividing it by the total number of commits. So it just determines the quality of an entire class.
-Had to have an avg. * ranking of 3.3 or above on Rivals to be included.

1. USC
2. Florida
3. Alabama
4. Texas
5. Oklahoma
6. LSU
7. UCLA
8. Florida St.
9. Tennessee
10. Ohio State
11. California
12. Penn State
13. Notre Dame
13. Missouri
13. Oregon
16. Auburn
17. Clemson
18. Texas A&M
19. Georgia

Not terribly surprising. Auburn was propped up by signing so many guys.

It's not done yet guys. We still have room to add a few more. There is the Glass kid from Texas that is a 3 star OL that is waiting for the Vols to offer him a scholarship and there is the DT from Arkansas I think he was 3 star also. As of last night they still were unsigned. Could still bump us up to 7 or 8. Also the Henderson kid still hasn't signed with USC so they are not certain of the #1 ranking until he signs. I read this morning his folks are says they may wait until end of month to see how things go with the NCAA investigation at SC. Either way we did a great job. GBO

anything below a 5.8 rivals ranking would drag our ranking down closer to 10th in this ranking as opposed to 7 or 8. FSU nudged UT by .01 pts in this ranking.

I still think we need the likes of these two recruits. I could care less if it dropped us a point or two. It is about filling positions, needs and depth and they would definitely help!

I think we are done this year and will hold those schollies for next year. If they wanted Dalvin Glass they would have visited him on the Texas trip and would have taken him before NSD. There wasn't another OL outside of Stone that we had a shot with. So they've known for a few days what they had on the OL. They could certainly look for another DT thought with Copeland switching it up.

that looks about right, man did UCLA take advantage or Carrol leaving or what? Their class completely took me off guard.

Defensive line is still a must if there are still any out there. I wish I could remember the name of the kid from Arkansas. Perhaps they are going to be running more 3/4 than 4/3 and aren't as worried about the linemen. I do recall seeing Boise St in a lot of 3/4 last season. They are known for their LBs swarming to the ball defense. Will be interesting either way. Will have to look at the updated roster now and see what we have. GBO

I think the Glass thing may depend on an OV. If he visits K'ville within the next couple of weeks then he'll be a Vol.

Dooley indicated we would be running a 4-3.

We are good at defensive end, DT is the concern. I think we have the following, but I am trying to confirm a couple of them.

Hughes, Walls, Brown, Sykes, Jeffrey, Nelson

If the first 5 guys listed are healthy and SEC ready then we aren't as precarious as the general consensus. But thats a big if.

I dont believe the staff has any interest. They went on a texas swing visiting a bunch of prospects and didn't visit Glass. This should tell you where he stood with them. He isn't in the cards. They are comfortable with where they are on the offensive line.

Dooley said we would run a 40 defense. won't be a 3-4.

I thought Auburn's class was rated higher. Did they lose some of their recruits?

they are 3rd or 4th on rivals. About 90% of Rivals formula is the top 20 players of a recruiting class. Auburn is top heavy and bottom heavy. The rivals ranking shows the top heavy portion of their class and this ranking shows that they are bottom heavy. They don't have a lot in the middle tier.

I would take UF's class over USC's anyday. It is just odd to say USC has the best class when UF has 8 more players and still has a ton of quality.

USC's class is good but overrated. As bad as i hate to say it UF has the best class by far. They have more players that USC and IMO some of USC's players are overrated just because they go to USC.

I think UF's defensive class might be the best ever. I think their offensive class leaves a little bit to be desired. Id take our offensive class over theirs in a heartbeat.

I don't see us running a 3-4 at all. As long as Bammer keeps a power running game going we're not going to run a 3-4 as base. Get over it, that's just life in the SEC East.
