Current Offensive Commitments: 8 (maybe 7 due to potential walk-on):

QB: Harrison Bailey

RB: Tee Hodge

OL: Will Albright (who I suspect may be a candidate to walk-on for a year), Javontez Spraggins, Cooper Mays, and James Robinson

WR: Jimmy Calloway and Jalin Hyatt

TE: None

Current Defensive Commitments: 7

DL: Dominic Bailey

LB: B.J. Ojulari, Tamarion McDonald, Bryson Eason, and Martavius French

DB: Art Green, Keshawn Lawrence, and Mordecai McDaniel

Current Athlete Commitments: Darion Williamson (1)

For scholarship purposes, we are between 15 and 16 current commitments. I think that we have good to excellent chances of adding Jay Hardy, Tyler Baron, Omari Thomas, and Octavius Oxendine. That gets us to 19-20 scholarship players. My guess is the final commitments (in addition to Hardy, Baron, Thomas, and Oxendine) will come from the group of Arik Gilbert (I doubt this happens), Noah Sewell (same), Darnell Washington (I doubt it happens but ATLVol is confident), Chris Morris (I have no inside knowledge but expect this could happen), Reggie Grimes (I bet will be a Vol), Marcus Henderson (I bet will be a Vol), Kyree Miller, Rakim Jarrett (I doubt this happens), Zaquandre White (I bet he is a Vol), Joel Williams, and Len'Neth Whitehead. 25 of the current commitments plus the DL guys plus another 5-6 of the other group (maybe with another couple names that will pop up later) will be a great class.

I think this staff will pull at least one, may two rabbits out of the hat like they did last year with Crouch, Toots, and Gray. I'll guess Jarrett and Washington. If not Washington, then Sewell.

Need more WRs...

I thought this too, BUT....we have a decent amount of WRs.

1. Brandon Johnson
2. Josh Palmer
3. DeAngelo Gibbs
4. Cedric Tillman
5. Ramel Keyton
6. Jerrod Means
7. Jalin Hyatt
8. Jimmy Calloway

That's not a horrible number to start with. Our problem hasn't been WRs as much as it's been getting a QB to get them the ball and having an OL that has gotten him enough time. I don't think we have the studs in the WR corp that we did (losing Callaway/Jennings), but I think we can at least be productive at that position.

Why do you think Albright will be a walk on? He's the best, in the country, at what he does. He has a scholarship offer and I believe he'll sign on the dotted line.

I know it’s asking a lot but I’m hoping Gibbs can have a Jennings type year for us

Honestly, with our offense, we don't need "home run guys." We need sure handed guys that are going to catch it, even if they don't get YAC. If they do, great. But, I just want guys that are going to make the tough catches.

A, one, “home run” guy would be nice.

Maybe he’s got academic scholarships so could be a candidate to walk-on year 1 to make numbers work? Idk, just a possibility explanation for the take.

Our finish will be

DECOMMITS: Darion Williamson (git-shirted to Memphis)

-Jay Hardy
-Tyler Baron
-Omari Thomas
-Octavius Oxendine
-Marcus Henderson
-Adonai Mitchell
-another RB (I’m thinking JoJuan Collins)
-Darin Turner OR Ricky White

last spot will go to the best player available or the best player we can flip (Darnell Washington, Rakim Jarrett, Noah Sewell, Len’Neth Whitehead, Desmond Tisdol, Kendall Dennis, Joel Williams or Reggie Grimes, Chris Morris, Damarcus Beckwith are some names to watch) my guess from that group would be Whitehead

Total of 25.

He’s rated the #7 long snapper in America. Long snapper. Those guys tend to be walk-ons. This program has too many needs to waste an initial counter spot on a long snapper.

Adonai Mitchell is 2021, right? Is he basing his reclassification off if we can take him this year or next?
I've never heard anything on Collins and Darin Turner isn't probably a possibility imo. I'd love to be wrong though.

I don't think Mitchell or Turner are takes at the moment.

He’s 2020. Last time we went to Cane Ridge for an interview he told us himself he was 2020, along with some others there.

We’ll have an update on Turner in the next couple of days or so because I think we’re sending a guy out to Memphis Central this weekend for a game. He wants out of Arkansas, we know that much.

And Moose has been out to see Collins once or twice. He has a top 2 of us and UGA, and UGA won’t have the room for him.
