Final two passes

I did. I knew the first mistake was Saban putting it on that kicker, who has been riding on the struggle bus. I was more than very confident he would miss that. I also knew 20 seconds was waaaaaay too much time to give our offense. That was two big mistakes in a row by Saban and he would do it differently in hindsight. I knew Hooker would connect and get us in FG range. Set us up perfectly for the W. McGrath got it done. Dixieland Delight. Good Ol Rocky Top!

How many of us really, really, really believed? And how many thought overtime was coming? I told my buddies 20 seconds was enough. Granted, I had a few adult beverages, but I'll never not believe

It was 15 seconds and I didn’t think it was possible. Even replaying the last two minutes it seemed implausible to me that there was enough time for the outcome I knew happened to all fit together.

What you witnessed was a statistical outlier. And that last pass to Bru (who caught only the first pass of the game and the last pass of the game) was magical. Hooker put it up trusting McCoy to go take the ball grown man style. And he did it.

Never a doubt. Giving Hooker and Heupel 15-20 seconds with a couple timeouts is a lifetime. Honestly I’m surprised Hyatt didn’t get a shot for his 6th TD ha

If we weren't within FG range with 2 seconds left, then Joe Milton was coming back out for a bomb shot to McCoy/Keaton with Hyatt as a decoy.

When Bama missed their FG, I fully believed we had a good shot. I’ve seen us do it before with insanely little time on the clock (halftime last year against UK). I’m also glad we hit it because I wasn’t too interested in overtime. I think their offense has the advantage in OT, we killed them with the long ball, I didn’t want the short fields.

As soon as Alabama missed that field I thought we would win in regulation. Hooker has that “It Factor”. This team just feels different. It always feels like they are going to score. We practically don’t punt anymore because our offense is just that unstoppable. The only time our offense gets stopped is with a bad play call on a 4th down where the route is ran short of the 1st down marker or we turn the ball over. It legitimately feels like the only way to stop this offense is to hope they mess up. Pretty scary for opposing defenses.

Vol Nation - think it is important to shower Bru McCoy with a lot of TLC, as his catch was, IMO, the most important catch of the year (feel free to disagree and mind you, i did not say best catch of the year). He found a place in between McKinstry and Battle and got whacked by Battle a split second after his hands grabbed this pass from HH4H. He maintained solid possession all the way to the ground w 4 hands pawing for the pigskin. Bru caught it - and we beat back the 15 year Bama curse. Thank you Bru, well done young man!!

I wondered if we'd see Milton again if that second o last pass wasn't caught.

For years, I have hollered at the tv, why don’t you try to do something here, there’s still time on the clock. (This was before halftimes, and at ends of games with a possible overtime looming.)
That’s the cool thing about Coach Heupel, he shows total confidence in his quarterback and his offense, and does not let opportunities run out of time. Loving all this!

^^^ yall see that both receivers NOT named Bru are getting absolutely freaking MANHANDLED down the field...like 12 to 15 yards down the field???!!?? Defensive holding/pass interference should have been called! Also, as all VOL fans know thanks to Dooley and the UNC Heels, a game CANNOT end on a penalty. So the ball should have been placed 10 or 15 yards down field to give us a FG attempt EVEN if the clock somehow ran down to zero.

OT never crossed my mind at all. I don't know why. Normally I would be praying they missed the fg so we could have a chance in OT. Maybe it didn't occur to me that there was so little time left. Idk, but when he missed the fg, I knew we were gonna win.

After the missed fg by bubba, I thought it possible. After the 1st pass, I believed, after the second pass, I knew it was gonna happen.

As soon as Bama missed the kick (which I think we could see that coming) I think most of us knew what was going to happen.

DUMB not to run the ball but hey…….I’m down for a win in regulation.

Worthy of the the number 15. He’s got that dog in him too.

For some reason I knew we were going to get it in range and kick the game winner. Haven't felt this way about our team in along time but I just knew they would get it done if Bama left them some time.

I had faith that either a 20 second drive to a TD or FG would work.
Even if it went for naught, no one has the scoring potential of the O in reg or O/T.

My minister here in Pensacola, an Auburn fan, proclaimed the kick had a divine assist. "Even after having the hand of Satan strike the ball at the genesis of it's flight, God provided just enough breath to assist it to victory!"
