Finally....

Yet again Brian France feels that he has to micromanage every little detail. He needs to quit fixing things that aren't broken (what he really needs to do is step down before he train wrecks the greatest sport on earth.

I read this morning where the change won't even become effective until the sponsor deals run out in 2009.

How many cars dose Roush have? 5? That means there is going to be 1 without a teammate....Well not really....All he'll do is put the car owner's name down as being on of his other's drivers and they can all still be a team, there are ways around that

they already do that. Mark Martin is the owner of the 17, and Georgetta Roush is owner of one of the cars. Same thing with Hendrick. Gordon is the owner of the 48 and Hendrick's wife owns one of the cars (the 25 I think).

Exactly, so they aren't putting a stop to anything

Then what's the point of the new rule? there's already a rule in place saying how many teams one owner can have (three I think). they just get around it. The new rule is supposed to close up the loophole. It'll be interesting to see if it gets enforced.

I have begun to lose interest in NASCAR. Never thought I'd say that, but it has just become the WWF of racing.

I can't see me ever losing interest in NASCAR, but this constantly changing the rules in the name of egalitarianism is starting to get just a bit ridiculous. I'm no fan of Jack Roush, matter of fact I can't stand the SOB, but he's had five teams since the late 90s, and nobody has had a problem with it. Now that he has all of his teams at the top at the same time, NASCAR wants to punish him for it. Which one of Jack's championship caliber teams is NASCAR gonna throw under the bus? And what kind of message does that send to potential owners and sponsers? If you are too sucessful, NASCAR is gonna take you down a notch. :shakehead: :banghead:

The other teams need to quit whining like a bunch of titty suckin cry babies and figure out how to beat the Roushes and the Hendricks.
