There is a college, Wesleyan University, about 2 miles from my front step. Problem it is, it straddles the road i need to take to get gasoline, smokes, beer, groceries, what have you, and pretty much every time i need one of the above, i need to wade my pickup through crowds of kids walking across the street.

Well, last night, said hippies (most liberal U east of Berkeley, by one study) were partying in the street, not just the side street i'm talking about, but the main state road that cuts through the campus. Campus security told them to try to stay off the road, and they ignored them. They told them again, and were ignored again.

So campus security called the Middletown PD and Connecticut State Troopers, who were met with thrown rocks and bottles.

So, (i admit to laughing and cheering when i saw it on the news when i woke up at 5 AM,) the police unleashed tear gas, K9's and Dogs on the mob.

The moron the interviewed talked said somthing like "Dude, they just came and, dude, did what they wanted, the just, like, dude, let the dogs out"

Stupid kids, got less than they deserved. I wish i could have brought my hound up to get a few bites in. Nobody cares that you are in college, when the security tells you to please stay off the road, listen. When State Troopers show up, and you throw crap at them, then don't complain when they react in kind.

I'd like to think one of the "America is a Terrorist Nation" sign holding shltheads i see every day was one to fall to a nightstick, makes me smile when i hear of it.

I can deal with that, so long as you don't give me the finger or pee on a flag when i pass. My sister is more of a leftist that even you, emain, we get along just fine.

Just don't give me teen angsnt and throw stuff at the police.:)

There was a similar problem where I went to college and the solution was to close the road off on in the middle of campus, thereby creating two dead-end streets. It was great for the students and pedestrian safety, but I have a feeling that some of the adversely affected locals did not dig it too much.

GaVol, I am speaking of the closing of college street if you care to comment.
