When he goes there, it will be more of a sports show than a Jerry Springer type of show, IMO. People bash him but he did that type of show because that's what Alabama and Auburn fans wanted and turned it into.

People forget (or some never knew) Jerry was a very well respected politician in the midwest for a very long time (and still is for a large part).

But people also forget that conflict sells. If you told me I had to make fun of different fans and rile up for a successful TV show and be nationwide famous and make hundreds of thousands doing it? Yeah, I'd ask if we need to make fun of a certain group more for better publicity.

Exactly. Paul doesn't really hate Tennessee, hes just selling his program to his listeners. Tennessee fans get upset about it but it is what is. Hes very successful at what he does

I think he will have a good show. He will have to adjust to the rest of the country being viewers and not just those few from Alabama. It will be interesting to see if he can speak on subjects other than football in Alabama.

I don't think he can do a "sports show" he doesn't know anything about X's and O's, he has made his living from pitting AU and UA people against each other. Plus hugging Saban's ballsack.

His national ratings on Sirius were bad, I see this as being no different. He should have just stayed in B-ham where his Jerry Springer act works.

He's just a less successful Skip bayless. It's almost like people don't believe that news anchors, media personalities, or even actors/athletes could put on a show for a public persona that isn't like how they are in real life.

For the best example, see Stephen Colbert.

Yep, I've heard numerous times that Skip Bayless is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. He just acts like that to attract viewers/hate/ratings. Same with Paul.

It's not like his show is exactly easy to find on XM.

I used to feel that way until I listened to how he handled the aftermath of Fulmer turning Bama in for cheating. He made some very personal and unprofessional remarks about Fulmer's wife and kids on his show and there is no place for that.
After he made those unfortunate remarks, he had a tense confrontation in the elevators of Neyland on his way up to the press box for a UT/Bama game. He just happened to get caught in the same elevator with Vicki and her group. There was a very heated exchange and he complained about his treatment on his show the next week. That's when I realized he was a small man that hides behind his microphone but doesn't want to own up to his mistakes. IMO he's lucky he didn't get a severe beating for calling another man's wife a whore on the radio. And now you know the rest of the story........
