I've been to all the games this year and have to say they need to get someone else to get the crowd fired up. Even those dunking boyz from Atlanta got the crowd fired up more than our own pep squad and bore leaders.

Well it is up to our basketball team to keep the crowd involved, and right now they are not keeping anybody into the game except the other team.

They have won more National Championships than the basketball team, so I would say that Joy Postell Gee will be around for a while.

It seemed like everytime we started to get into the game, Vandy would make a big shot. Seemed like we were jynxed

No the mens games. It's like a funeral. It's sad when some lone guy in the stands needs to rev up the crowd. What the hell are those cheerleaders and dance squads doing.... Nothing!!! Dan Boone needs to start firing off his gun or something. And the music during timeouts is so depressing I want to go to sleep.

I agree. They have to go! I've been going to Tennessee basketball games for 67 years and this crowd is the worst I've ever seen! When I was a small boy they used to hand out loaves of bread and that got people fired up!

Is this a serious thread??? Are you joking matrosscbc????

The crowd needs to get into the GAME!!! it's getting pathetic and when people start complaining that it's only the coaches or players fault that's were we get the disconnect. When it's a home game the crowd is always the 6th man, and lately our crowd has been deafly silent. When the cheerleaders come on the floor every time or the dance squad came on the music was pathetic and so slow or from some funeral procession. I wanted to jump from the rafters. The only time I heard the crowd get real loud was when it took the refs 30 minutes to figure out that offsetting fouls call.

At every football game or even high school game the crowd gets into because A: the team is just flat lining the opponent or B: the pep squad, cheerleaders or band just charges up the crowd into a fiery raucous where they just want to rip the walls and shatter the windows within the building.

The last few home games have been terrible when it comes to showing any emotion. I don't think more than 30 people in the crowd stood up during the entire game. It is also pathetic when a bunch of flying hoop dunkers from Atlanta that have no ties to the school can get the crowd more excited than our own PEP squad.

Get a new PEP squad and someone who knows how to get the crowd going with some AWESOME music or sound FX or I'm gonna come in there and go crazy and start throwing twinkies from the rafters after I set the damn popcorn machines on fire and drive them through the concession halls tied to my daughters barbie power wheels!!!

Bruce get someone in there to get these fans excited...THROW flaming loaves of bread, or orange hankies or something, get us going!!! get us excited even if the team is doing terrible we need to cause eardrums to split and people to faint and women to go into premature labor!!!!!

AND BRUCE IF YOU THINK GIVING OUT FREE H1N1 VACCINES IS GOING TO MAKE THE CROWD GO ALL WILD THINK AGAIN!!!

What about the janitors? Their grubby fingerprints are all over the listless crowds, too.

Are you just here to come up with stupid threads? I've not seen a thread from you that was even readable.

you couldn't be more right... if we fired those janitors then there would be a rat infestation and you might hear a lot more people yelling and screaming! Jermaine Beal wouldn't have hit all those 3s

What about the Ushers and those ugly green shirts?

I think we should get rid of this Dan Boone guy as well. He needs to get his arse back up to Gray.

I think that is a major problem. Basketball Is new to a lot of fans. They don't know how to act. It's a sports arena you should be going crazy yelling and screaming, it's like a library in there. We aren't in a board room!! Yes, the coaches for no good reason wear suits and the cheerleaders never seem to get any of the fans riled up. They need to bring in some proffesional DJ even some amatuer wedding singers could get this crowd going. They also need to start having a lot more pre-game activities in the arena for fans. All I see are fans coming and going it's pathetic. Imagine 25000 screaming fans it would be a deat knell for the visiting team.
