Fire Pat

Pat won't be going anywhere for a long time, I hope. It would take many, many losing seasons before she would ever get fired. The only way I could see Pat leaving would be if she decided to give up coaching and retire, which I don't think will be for another 10 - 15 years. But, how ironic would it be if ole' Buzz was hired to take over the LV's.

I think the two loses will probably do this young team good. They'll start understanding they need to play defense.

You are so right. I think Pat will let them bottom out a little then have them peak by tourney. JMO.

I've always thought that was one of the most overused cliches in sports. I understand what you are saying, but I don't think any loss has ever been a blessing. If they don't find some defense and floor leadership, they are going to have several more "blessings in disguise".

I'm beginning to think that something is wrong with Zolman.

He's a ND guy... but this is pure sarcasm, and well placed at the "Fire Fulmer" crowd. That said, losing two in a row in bball is very different from going 5-6 in football...

Not to mention, she has won several SEC championships since 98 and goes to the Final Four every year, the equivalent of going to a BCS bowl. If Fulmer did that, I doubt you would see anyone calling for his head.

Well, I hate to bump this thread but I agree with GAvol about Zolman. It's not just her shooting either. I've been dismayed at her performance in the last 4 games. I could be wrong, seems like she's been consistently going 0/5 early on in games and it's been messing with her head. Loses her discipline on defense, trips on herself....Her frustration is so obvious. She has had flashes of this in the past, notably last year but only briefly. Certainly don't ever remember it lasting this long.

For some reason, she's having a really difficult time shaking it off. I'm fervently praying for her to pull it together tomorrow bc it looks like she's starting to affect the rest of her team. Tomorrow is a great opportunity for her to gather herself.

As a result, lack of floor leadership is a huge concern. Feel like Parker is going to have to really take over.

One of her press conferences, possible road weariness was suggested and Pat wouldn't hear any of it. The days of Demoss intervening on behalf of the players is over so if it is rest that's needed, those girls are going to have plead their case to Warlick.

I'm eagerly waiting for Pat to figure it out.

She has lost 2 games in a row for the first time in 9 years. It is time she goes!
Hire Rick Insell at MTSU, he could put the energy needed into the program. She got her # 900 and is now obviously quitting.
Great post WesCharge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clapping:

It seems to me we kept waiting for Candace to start being more of a force on offense and as soon as she does that nearly everyone else has gone in the opposite direction.I hope Tennessee spends more time on making easy layups.Seems like Anniseky(sp) has missed more layups than she's made of late.

No, but I admire the fact that Mike doesn't muzzle himself to avoid hurting feelings. He says what he thinks. That's a good thing.

Oh my gosh........If she loses her next 100 straight she would be close to losing as many as the #2 coach of all time Jody Conradt.

I vote that we start firecoachsummitt.com before the streak becomes unbearable.

I believe someone has an infatuation with sheep. Can we agree that is the Volnation equivalent of the old four corners in basketball. B-O-R-I-N-G.

I agree. Henceforth, all sheep shall be referred to as lemmings.

This is the offseason for all major sports and I can agree that some should get corn cobbs out of thier ass and lighten up a little bit.
