First time I'm ok with with the One Tennessee brand. I would have zero interest in a Lady Vols scarf. But the Vols yes. Looks cool.

I like that scarf! It is brash in a good way.

I believe the Vols have drawn 1,000 fans. It's not surprising that soccer has been slow to catch on in the deep South whereas it has been booming for years in the rest of the country. It is growing as an SEC sport, just a bit slowly. I was at a UVA-Notre women's soccer game a couple of weeks ago and the Cavs drew about 2,000 fans paying $7 a ticket (adults) and $4 under 12/13. But they've got a top soccer program--and a lousy football program. But then our football program has been lousy for a long while, too. If it doesn't improve fast, we may see the UT women's softball and soccer teams playing in Neyland before long and the football team playing on the softball stadium outfield in front of 1,000 fans!

Big game against florida on Friday night. I'm not going to get too hepped up, however. I got hepped up for the auburn game, also big, and they thumped us. Pensky is a bit like Jones--he's been upgrading the talent but needs to start winning games. But his team is young. Where have we heard that before?!
