Lol, Cincinnati and UNC as top 10 teams??? That’s so ridiculous.

I got alarm bells ringing in my head. What gets me about Iowa st. is I have been telling everyone how good they were for several years now, and even saw thier draft picks coming before they happened, and now everyone is on board and jumping on board, and I'm like whoa.... that's a situation you don't want to be in at a smaller school. Campbell is real, and he will move on soon. This is a scary year for him, and for Allen at Indiana as well. UT has no pressure. Everyone expects about 7 wins.

So basically what your saying is if they flop the “I told you crowd” will take the credit and the I’m glad he’s not at Tennessee threads will pile up.

Clemson is ranked too high and Oklahoma always chokes against somebody they should beat
Clemson has made the playoffs 6 years in a row and only the last ~3 years have recruited at a really elite level. And they have #1 2020 QB DJ U. I mean, where would you rank them?

Because Notre Dame made the playoffs and crapped the bed,and people realize they aren't that good, ever.
Doesn't make them "not good". Just shows how much better the cream of the crop is than the rest. Playoff games are regular blowouts for Bama, Clemson.

Exhibit A: it’s the damned pre season. These things don’t mean shat. If they put in the work ND will be rignt there at the end to get hammered in a game they don’t belong in.
Funny thing/strange fact. Preseason rankings are a better indicator of bowl game outcomes than end of season rankings 🤔

Wouldn't say they don't mean ANYTHING. They have decent predictive value, mostly for top 5/10 teams and less predictive as you go down. 20-25 are pretty much a crapshoot though.

Yeah, Iowa is favored against Indiana, but it’s going to be a tough game. I can see if going either way. And as bad as I hate to admit it, the Cyclones beat the Hawkeyes this year. :( we’re still looking at 7-9 wins this year though, and I’m ok with that!

The point still remains the same. They’ll be around if they handle business only to get embarrassed.

Is there a sources for this? I am not trying to be combative. I am truly interested in seeing the results.

A&M has 9 starters back on defense after leading the SEC in total defense last year.

They return all their skill position players sans the QB (and return a few from season ending injuries) and have high level talent replacing the starters that graduated.
