Tennessee a 3 seed in the South region. This is the kind of region that would set up nicely for an Elite Eight run. Tennessee could certainly beat everyone in their half. Hopefully it looks that good in March.

Also, Lunardi and I have a pretty similar view of the top 16 seeds, save Duke (who will probably be there, but I just don't see them as one of the top 16 teams in the country, look for another early round exit for the boys from Durham).

Wow, looks like a pretty decent shot at the Elite 8. TBH, I wouldn't be shocked if a few of the teams in our region *cough UCLA* don't even make the tourney.

WAY too early for this. I for one have not been overly impressed with our team in the exhibitions. I think we are going to get the same results as last year. We have an easier non conference schedule than last so we will get a few more Ws that way. But conference is more stout so wont win as many SEC games so RPI will be about the same. I would like to see us make an Elite 8 run for All partys involved, Coaches Players and especially those fans of us that have went to UT bball games before it was cool sitting on the 3rd row with a 300 level ticket that we bought for a dollar from a scalper.

haha..lots of memories of dirt cheap tix from scalpers when I was real young. Me and my grandfather use to do it and it's amazing how dang cheap they were compared to now.

I'd love to play UCLA & Duke. That would be sweet. With our luck, A&M would end up beating Duke and we'd get stuck playing the Aggies at Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX

When I was in school and we had Wade Houston and were losing by double digits at home to U of Arkansas - Pine Bluff, scalpers couldn't PAY people to take tickets!

haha. He made a couple of NIT trips. I think I remember getting some free tickets to the Florida/UT game when Hammer played. I think we lost by 2 points or something? I was real young though.

Then we'd be stuck with Texas at Reliant, and their fans travel better than A&M's fans

I think we end up as a 2 seed, but a 3 at worse. I will settle with that 3 seed as long as we get that exact South Bracket. GO VOLS!!!

With Williams gone, it leaves them dreadfully thin in the backcourt. Smith should be okay, but Scheyer is not a guy I would want as a primary ballhandler for any kind of significant minutes. Taking all that into consideration, I think teams with good guards are going to absolutely shred them all season. It is going to be really fun to watch.

Ah yeah. Didn't even bother looking past A&M or realizing that Texas was the #1 seed. I'd rather play anyone other than Texas this year. I think they own Kansas this year. Seriously tough.

Also, I think the A10 gets more than two in. Dayton and Xavier are pretty obvious barring any major slipups, but Richmond should be in a good position to at least make the conference interesting and be that third tourney berth.

Texas should have an outstanding year, that said, I can't see anyone "owning" Kansas this year.

Thought about including them and didn't since I don't know a ton about them yet. Do you think that it is one of LaSalle and Richmond assuming there is a third team, or could the A10 make a run at 4 teams in the tourney with a couple of the power conferences having down years?

I wouldn't count on 4 teams making it from the A10. That would be pretty amazing though.

Recently, teams from Tennessee have dominated Texas at Reliant in the Regional Finals. After spending a weekend around the Horn fans, I don't know if there is a more arrogant, obnoxious fan base.
