It's a reboot. Sam Raimi apparently walked for some reason when they were working out Spiderman 4 and they canned everyone/the franchise. Pretty stupid decision. Don't see this doing well at all. They had a really good thing going with as well.

starting to? they ruined venom. i havent liked any since the first, and it still wasnt near what it could've been. mcguire was a bad pick...he's lucky franco and defoe made up for his shortcomings in the first film. and kirsten is the ugliest female lead in motion picture history.

The last two sucked and the first one was average. Emo Spiderman, WTF?

I have to laugh when I hear people say Spiderman 2 sucked. It's only considered by critics to be one of the best Superhero movies ever made and is one of the rare sequels that's better than the original, IMO.

The first 2 were good. The last one they tried to squeeze way too much into it. It wasn't horrible but it should have been a lot better.

Dude looks a bit skinny to be Spider-Man.

well now you have Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy


(there's no more Mary Jane since the current heads of Marvel really have some issues against the character)

A Gwen Stacy female lead is actually a good way to help separate this reboot from the last group.

i was always thought the second one paled in comparison to the first one.

IMO:

1. Spiderman- really good
2. Spiderman 2- average
3. Spiderman 3 AKA Jazz Dancing with Peter Parker- bad
