Well let's see....we can call you all sorts of names....force you to tell us everything to convince us you are a true Vols fan.....make you send us a picture doing something outrageous....

Welcome to the board. Advice? Sometimes things get nasty here, warm and fuzzy, controversial, and a little of everything in between. Keep a thick skin and enjoy the news and debate. Most of us are Vols fans with a few outsiders. You'll find every opinion of Vols sports under the sun so get ready for anything from fact to conspiracy theories. It's all good fun.

That is what I like to hear. I was banished, literally, from the last Volunteer web board I posted at because I was an advocate of Erik Ainge.

*On a side note do you like Christopher Walken a lot? If so, have you seen the webpage that has announced he is going to run for President? It is good stuff if you have not seen it.

The Ainge/Clausen debate is probably one of the fiercest ones on here. Personally I think he's bombed this year but I am one who thinks he's perfectly capable of rebounding in a great way with the proper OC. Since this is a volatile topic, be mindful of those who are the extremes on both sides. Keep in mind the posting policy and what can get you tossed here as well. Just remember for every thought you agree with there is someone always there to completely disagree. But we're all armchair QBs and "Playstation Coaches" as Bobby Bowden likes to call us.

Yes, this pic came from his site for President. He hasn't started raising money or formed a committee to do so. So basically this could all just be fluff. Only time will tell.

Don't worry about the thick skinned part I have that covered.

Do people take to silliness or that something that is not tolerated on the board?

By silliness I mean sarcastic statements or opinions but meant to be silly during a discussion?

Again the last board I was at that was not appreciated?

I can sum up the Ainge/Clausen debate very simply:

Rick Clausen has become the Tennessee football equivalent of the chick you know you can hook up with but just can't bear to call. Whereas Erik Ainge is the chick you know you can't hook up with but keeps convincing you there's some possibility for success. This is a strained analogy that might have just crossed over into strained metaphor land.

That is what I mean by silliness........

Judging by what some of us have already posted, I'd say silliness and then some is tolerated here.

I will totally agree with a sarcastic button or insignia. I used to have to preface my posts on the other board with astericks and people still thought I was serious.

I think you&#39;ll find that if we tolerate these dawg and gator fans on here, you&#39;ll fit in nicely...

btw...to both of you...nice wins over the ACC last weekend.

at least someone is trying to make the SEC look good....hopefully it&#39;ll be our turn again next year.... :rock:
