Terrified, tongue-tied and twisted upon learning minutes ago that my former workplace that once housed a news organization that ridiculed Vol fans will become The Saban Center once fund-raising is complete around 2023

what a botch!

I don't understand. Are we recruiting a building now? Is there a rule that says a player has to be human? It would certainly clog up the running lanes.

for whoever moved this, thanks
seems like recruiting was best place to vent
not poking fun at Nick and Mrs. Terry
site of this center was sold to City of Tuscaloosa by an investing firm that recently purchased Gannett

What happened and where
Tuscaloosa News, a Pulitzer prize-winning newspaper now owned by Gatehouse Media, will be without a home at some point..T he city of Tuscaloosa, purchased the facilty, a few months ago, with plans to provide new homes for the Public Library and a museum.

This week, after a gift from the Sabans, the city announced that the facility would become the Saban Center. Ever since the paper was sold to Gatehouse,, a series of layoffs and conversion to a multimedia center, has left the daily paper with a skeletal staff with a small amount of space in what was its building under a lease w/ the city.

It was also announced recently that Gatehouse was acquiring all the Gannet papers., a large chain that owns Tennessee's three largest papers and USA Today.
The resut is the mess we call journalism.

Sadly, massive newsroom cuts are planned

I live down the street. I would say world. Do you know Jody?
Great guy. Talked with him at least a half dozen times. He and his wife were at a Ken Stringfellow show my wife and I attended in a Big Star fan's home that was a couple miles from the Hampton on Poplar. We saw him play w/ posies at the studio about two years ago. Also learned a lot about the student on a tour by an employee. Great folks. Cant recall any names.
